the hotel was just like as i saw in pics , our room was nice comfortable and the design was amazing for couples to stay in ,, it has a flat tv and bath infront of the bed and u can turn the flat tv around to watch it while u’re in bath,, one thing is that bring ur ironing machine with u cuz there;s no available one in the room. umm , the servers are not friendly , but when they clean the room they do their job well. the good thing also is that the hotel is a walking distance to Dubai mall which is really the best mall in dubai.

Worth the expense

I am travelling around the world but fancied a slice of luxury in Dubai for one night. This is not 6 star accommodation, but as a UK citizen the equivalent in the UK just would have matched up. several porters got my luggage from the car. A complimentary drink was offered at reception. The room was immaculate, and the service to meet my requirements was also top notch. It is well located for the Dubai Shopping Mall, but Dubai is big and taxis are expensive to get you to the coastline and to the islands, so be clear about what you want to do in Dubai

Good Value of money

the hotel is clean and new and well designed,it should be rated as a five star hotel,the swimming pool is not so big though but it was a good value for the money that i paid ,i will definitely stay in this hotel again

Great Hotel in Dubai

Food was a little pricey, but it IS a 4 star hotel after all. Concierge desk was a HUGE help on our vacation! Overall a fantastic place to stay when visiting Dubai. About 2 blocks from the Dubai Mall, but the mall is not designed for walking into, take a cab.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Take a desert safari! Being driven across the dunes is a lot of fun! If you have a weak stomach, skip the food. Made me sick for 2 days.

Delightfully stylish and good location

Everything is beautifully designed in this hotel. The room is perfect for a romantic weekend: tasteful contemporary decor with a few traditional Arabic touches, excellent bed, relaxing lighting and ingenious in-room bath. Tip: you can swivel the television screen to watch your favorite movie from the bathtub. The rooms offer free and fast internet access. The staff are very friendly and efficient. All in all, it was a memorable stay I’m looking forward to renew.

You can access the Dubai Burj and Mall by crossing through the souk next to the Palace hotel across the street from the Al Manzil. Don’t miss the Burj fountain show running in the evenings - breathtaking!

Great Location

Great Location away from all the beach resorts , but across from Burj Dubai and Dubai Mall...easy distance in between Old Dubai and beach area. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Start with the Big Bus Tour picked up at Wafi Mall and branch out from there.

Very good location , walking distance from Burj Dubai & Dubai mall Plenty of facilities in adjacent residence like supermarkets, coffee shops and pharmacies makes you feel at home "Manzil" means home in Arabic

The facilities of the hotel were excellent. The hotel staff were attentive and courteous.I liked the pool. It was great having a mall within the complex that has a fully stocked grocery store.

Al Manzel Hotel Downtown Burj Dubai Area

I spent one weekend night at Al Manzel Hotel in the Burj Dubai Down Town Area and it was extremely fantastic and I would recommend it to everyone.

NICE is the word to discribe this hotel

I had a wonderful five nights at this hotel wich i didn’t want them to end, so i stayed an other five nights and enjoyed the woderful service and confort room. And by the way when i spoke to my friends about the hotel they all came and we took total of 4 rooms in the hotel and we enjoyed the stay together. One of my friends is still there.(Now is 4 days since my chek out)

I was in Jeddah and a friend helped me look through the Expeia listings for Dubai. She said that she had heard good things about the Al Manzil so I said ’fine.’ And indeed it worked out more than ’fine.’ Clean, well-designed hotel with some funny touches -- I had a tub out in the middle of the room -- (There was also a shower.) -- which made the place feel very resorty. Buffet lunches in "Conservatory’ were very good -- especially the duck Concierge very helpful in arranging tours. Had a great time and would go back in a heart-beat.

Take the organized tours -- the place is spread out and a guide is helpful. I went on some desert tours -- well-worth it.

Will eventually be a great location

Good hotel, with a South African flavour. Once all the high density contruction work has been completed in the Old Town, this will be a great location. Although it is currently in the middle of a contruction site and therefore makes getting to and from the hotel difficult and expensive by taxi. However once all building work in the area has been completed, the hotel will have a great location ...near to The Burj (world’s tallest building) and Old Town (the new town centre of Dubai)within walking distance of the largest shopping mall in the world, with some fantastic attractions in the immediate area. For the moment, this hotel represents excellent value for money by Dubai standards. Will definitely stay there again.

Good Hotel But Check Your Bill

Al Manzil Hotel is an impressive facility with unique rooms and decent amenities. The surrounding atmosphere will soon improve, once the nearby construction of Burj Dubai finishes up. The pool and inner courtyard are well-situated and protects guests from the noise of the outside city, but the pool needed cleaning. I was generally happy with their service, but there were a few drawbacks: study your bill carefully when checking out. I have stayed at Al Manzil twice, and both times they have tried to pad the bill with extra charges. They ignored special room rate discounts that I was supposed to receive, and they also added several "tips" charges to my room service (even after I had already given cash tips). This is a common practice in other hotels as well, so always make sure to cross out the "tips" portion of each room service receipt and write down the total before signing away.

I recommend this hotel to all travellers. I was completely satisfied. The hotel business center is almost open 24 hours and using of the internet completely free of charges and the center is provided with color printer and fax which makes it easy to manage your business when you are far away from it. But located is under construction area that will open in year 2008.

A place to relax and chill

Excellent hotel

The hotel is brand new, very comfortable with beautifully designed, interesting modern rooms. The facility is great - wonderful pool, good restaurants, highly attentive and professional staff. Free, in-room internet certainly an added bonus. Yes, the hotel is in the middle of construction area (of Old Town!) but what in Dubai is not these days? The noise is not a problem and, on the transportation front, the taxis are plentiful and inexpensive. Taxis are a must as the hotel is not near anything yet and Dubai is too spread out to walk anywhere.

Great new Spot in Dubai

This hotel was great -- the rooms are interestingly designed, beautiful, and extremely comfortable. Free internet is a boon. The staff are quite helpful -- they even give you a nice, cool glass of fruit juice while you are standing at the checkin counter. The only negative aspect of the place is that it is in a part of the city that is still quite under construction. There isn’t a lot to do in this neighborhood yet, and you really have to drive or take a taxi to get anywhere interesting. I imagine that the neighborhood will be very nice in 2008 or 2009 when more of the buildings are complete. But for now, this is a more moderately priced, but extremely nice place to stay in order to go to other parts of the city.
