Geat location

This hotel is in Leicester Square, which is a great location in London, nearly everything is within walking distance, and the tube station is about a two minute walk away. It’s quite swanky and the staff are nice and do their job well. Free secured wifi, and a bidet in the bathroom. It’s quite a nice room. They even have one American 110-volt standard outlet available in the room! Hotel services like laundry are expensive, but unfortunately that’s how it usually is. No pool. The location is both a plus and a minus, I didn’t know Leicester Square turned into a middle-eastern spot late at night, and you’ll hear people obnoxious drunk/yelling outside in foreign languages until 2 or 3 am, and we didn’t even have a room facing the square! Not saying this is an accurate general representation of middle-easterners, just setting up the environment. Also the shower was kind of weird, Europeans don’t seem to get what a shower is supposed to be. The door was a swing-out door that only covered halfway back the shower/tub, so even after a short 5 minute shower I had to use all remaining towels wipe down the entire bathroom (and soaking wet floor) from water afterward. Would be near perfect if the shower situation were better.

Good, but designed by a man

The staff is fabulous. The room large, the bed really comfortable, and free data connection in the room. However, the hotel is not designed for women travelers. The safe is so high, you have to climb on a bench. There are no lights over any mirror and no plugs near any mirror. Good luck with hair and make-up. I got an extension cord and that worked for hair. With this exception, the staff and hotel are wonderful.

Traveler's tip on dining

Great location for all sorts of restaurants.

A Tired Looking Hotel

Great location, but it’s noisy if there is a fair going on until 10 pm at the square the hotel is facing. The hotel itself is a little tired-looking and their restaurant is simply bad. We only stayed here one night.
