Blue Heaven
I’ve always wanted to stay at the Carolina Inn since I graduated from UNC in 1979. My husband and I finally got there on our 32nd wedding anniversary! It did not disappoint! Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The proximity to Franklin St and campus was a plus!

Previous stays have been more enjoyable
The hotel is well known for their chocolate chip cookies at check-in. We arrived around 6:00pm and they were already gone. There was only one robe in the room. Parking was extremely difficult and took a long time when we returned at night. It is a great location and a very attractive hotel, but it is rather expensive, therefore you expect great service.
