Excellent
An excellent resort located on Hollaways Beach, just a few miles away from Cairns with a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Many tours available with hotel pick up. Close to nearby beaches and public transportation. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get away from town for a quiet and peaceful stay.
I suggest going in September or October, it is their spring time. The temperature was in the 80’s to low 90’s. Also not as many tourists during this time. November is the start of their rainy season. January through March is their summer and high tourist season where it may be too hot in the 100’s.

A nice out of the way place
This is a beautiful, out of the way place to stay. It has lush gardens and is just across the street from the beach. It is about a 10-15 minute ride into the city of Cairns, and there are bus stops very near by the hotel. If you are looking for busy night life and happening restaurants, this is not your place. In fact we only found 2 quaint restaurants near by. If you want peace, quiet and beautiful scenery it’s a great place to go. The only downside was that the air conditioner in our room would not get the room as cool as we wanted during the day time. Other than that, we loved it!

Highly recommended!!
Very pleased with the hotel and staff. Small efficiency style apartment with full refrigerator, washer and dryer, electric hot plate for cooking along with a microwave. Very clean, grounds well kept, easy access to beach, airport, Cairn’s, Kuranda and various tours. Still quiet and secluded area with beach right across the street. Hotel staff was very attentive and helpful and even confirmed bookings made with a separate online agent. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and will definitely use again if in the area. You won’t be disappointed.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Two local attractions stand out and are highly recommended - Skyrail to Kuranda - Sky tram over the rainforest into Kuranda with multiple stops to walk the rainforest as you switch cars to cross the mountains. Cairn’s Night Zoo - Very enjoyable dinner with flashlight tour of the zoo to see nocturnal Australia at it’s best. Finish up the evening having tea with a group of kangaroos and a sing along with the very attentive staff.
