smoking
I requested a non-smoking room and was put into a smoking room. Terrible smell.

I will certainly return to the Hampton.
The only missing thing is a comfortable lobby.

Entirely Adequate
On par with other Hampton Inns: comfortable rooms, convient breakfast included, relaxing pool area. The hotel is nicely located within walking distance to IHOP and McDonalds. Beach access is just a short drive away. Friendly staff. The elevator can be a little grumpy and the dining area becomes jam-packed on holiday mornings. Stay here if you spend most of your vacation outside of your hotel room.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Hilton Head has dense natural forest. You cant see the ocean unless youre on the beach. Stay at an ocean-side resort if you want that island living feel. And bring a good map. Side streets and shops/resturants are hard to see until you pass them. And watch out for the traffic circles of death.
