Impressed!
If you have to go to Limerick, you must stay here. It is a new, modern hotel, fantastic rooms with all the amenities (we had a superior room - flat screen TV, sofa, king size bed, waterfall shower, desk, music, movies, etc). The restaurant had great food. The town of Limerick itself was pretty quiet and many shops were closed when we were there. Not sure if it was because it was a bank holiday weekend or August or what but there wasnt much to see. We used it as a base to explore the Cliffs of Moher and then fly out of Shannon. I would stay there again and if all the Absolute Hotels are like this, I would stay at another one in a heartbeat. Parking was no problem. Book spa appointments early as there was nothing available during our stay when we tried booking on arrival. We got the best rate through Expedia.
Traveler's tip on dining
We ate one night at the nearby Oyster House. Good food in a casual setting, nice selection of wines but also lots of beer and the chance to watch Irish football.
