Little Gem in Latham
While on a college admission visit to RPI with my son, we stayed at the Latham Travelodge. Although I selected the hotel based solely on price and location, this was one of the best hotel experiences I had in a long time. We arrived around 9 PM, as we had planned and advised them via Expedia, and the innkeeper was waiting for us. The room was very nicely decorated and contained all conveniences including a fridge and safe! The beds were comfortable and the clock radio easy to operate. The innkeeper told us the location of restaurants that were open and we had a nice dinner, just down the road. In the morning the continental breakfast was great, my son especially appreciated the "make your own waffle". He even commented on the hotel to my wife, before telling about how the college visit went. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Fine for the price
If your looking for a budget room in Latham, this wasn’t bad. My mother was in town and stayed here, it was’nt fancy but she said the bed was comfortable (which is important). Easy access to the rooms, rooms have what you need! If your not planning to stay in the hotel the whole time, why not save a little cash with the Travelodge?

room was newly renovated and beds were comfortable
hotel staff were a bit creepy and carpet edges were not clean.....
