We loved it!
The room was large with a microwave and fridge. We enjoyed the "steamroom" shower and the jacuzzi tub as well as eating breakfast on the balcony accompanied by several deer feeding just a few feet from us. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. After reading some of the other reviews, I wondered if I was staying at the same place. We couldnt have been more pleased with Tunnel Mountain Resort.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Drive Bow River byway to Lake Louise. Get a park pass in town at the visitor center before you go. On a clear night drive a mile or so out Tunnel Mountain Road and get a look at the stars. Amazing without the city lights. Hikers, do the Johnston Falls hike and continue to the Inkpots. The trailhead is on the Bow River Byway. Gorgeous! The gondola was fun with bighorn sheep feeding so close by I could have touched them. THe hike to the top is not difficult. The hot springs were relaxing.

Luxury, reasonably priced
We only stayed one night due to our schedule, but wished we could have stayed longer. Our room had a balcony, fireplace, steam bath, and a large living area, all for a very reasonable rate.
