Great Location and Super Facilities
This is a great new hotel that has super on sight facilities and is located where you have excellent public transportation connections including taxi, bus, air and train. Its outside the hustle of Centre City but only a 10 min bus ride to all the activities, business, tourist and nightlife. Staff was very accomodating in all respect.

Nice new hotel, with a few things they need to improve
The Hilton Dublin Kilmainham is immaculate. Its brand new, and clean as a whistle. The location of the hotel is a bit out of the city, but only a short drive away. The staff were very nice and accomodating. Our complaints were: The front desk did not have enough help...it usually only had one person working at a time, and during the busy hours it would result in people having to wait in a line. Also, there were a few times we had to call the front desk from our room and they never answered the phone...probably due to the fact that they were under staffed at the front desk...The continental breakfast was awful. The food was terrible, and very over priced. The breakfast was offered from 7 am until 10 am and we arrived at 9:45 am. It was a buffet, with so little choices of food, and the choices were all bad, with the exception of the scrambled eggs which were fine. We felt as though because it was towards the end of the breakfast that they did not come out with any fresh hot dishes to choose from, so there was practically nothing left to eat...but they did charge us FULL price. After our experience with breakfast we decided not to eat there at all again.
Traveler's tip
When visiting Ireland in general, definitly take advantage of renting a GPS system for your rental car- it was a life saver with directions.

A Great Find
The Hilton Kilmainham is uniquely located close to many of Dublins attractions. While it may not be on the main street (OConnell, it is in easy walking distance of such attractions like the Kilmainham Gaol, the Modern Art Museum, Phoenix Park, the Dublin Zoo, and many of the bus stops and the Luas(Dublins Tram Service). The Hilton staff are friendly and knowledgable, able to give guests directions to their favorite sites of interest. Rooms are kept neat and clean with the service staff cleaning them twice a day if necessary. If you need to continue to work out and exercise while staying in Dublin, their Living Well Spa offers exercise equipment, a pool, jacuzzi and a sauna. While the food in the restaurant is a bit pricey, it is well prepared and very good. Overall, the Hilton Kilmainham is a great find in Dublin and a wonderful place to stay while exploring Dublin.
There are many places in Dublin for families with children. The Dublin Zoo is the second largest zoo in Europe and well worth exploring. If your child enjoys interactive fun, The Ark on Eustace Street in the Temple Bar section of Dublin is a unique museum just for kids that not only has displays, but also interactive and creative stations where children can explore their creativity.
