Best Western Premier Hotel Kukdo

We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was great. The location was half a block away from the subway which was very convenient. There was not really anything to do immediately outside of the hotel. The hotel staff was amazing and the restaurant had great food at great prices!

no bath tab in room, too far from Myongdon by walk, telephone fee is too expensive.

Real Seoul

Visiting our daughter teaching English. Kukdo was near many sites easily accessed by subway, walking or taxi. The staff were friendly and so helpful. The brunch was a nice way to start our day. The rooms were lovely and well kept. We enjoyed wandering the nearby streets and small stores. Very interesting. Would recommend it highly for a true Seoul inner city experience.

Insadong for shopping, the nearby Temple and Folk Museum were great.

The entire experience was first rate! Everything about it - the service, price, location was just great. We would most definitely stay there again!

Good hotel, but questionable location

We had a very nice stay in the Kukdo. Our main purppose in Korea was for shopping, and this hotel was within walking distance from myeong dong and tongdaemun markets. Its located closer to Tongdaemun so if you are planning on going there for latenight shopping, its good. There is very little around the hotel, however. Recommended to hose who dont mind a taxi ride, or a walk to all the action.

Nice Hotel

The hotel was nice. I was very impress with the room. It was modern, big and clean. The only thing was the hotel was built in a dirty and dead part of town where everything seems to go dead by 7 or 8 at night. You would have to wonder far for food or shopping. If you plan to do a lot of foot exploring, then this is not the place to stay. But if you plan to take taxis, then this is not a bad place to stay.

Wonderful

We were immediately met by very helpful concierge, and each day we discussed with them the areas we wanted to visit and ways to get around. We wanted to be on our own adventure. The room was very clean, even offering robes & slippers for walking on the floor. We loved the bathroom with the up to date toilet & shower. The buffet breakfast was a mix of American, Korean, & Japanese- which we enjoyed each day. We enjoyed the adventure of the metro very near the hotel. Any time we stopped more than a few minutes to study a map, we were met by English and Non-English speaking individuals if they could help. We only stayed 4 nights and wished we had arranged more.

One night wasn’t enough

Lovely setting! Good food with room service and the restaurant. Great for a long weekend Romantic.

Great Price/Performance ration

Still feels brand new since it opened earlier this year. Rooms are spacious and extremely well designed with a good choice of colors, materials and simple geometric shapes. Located immediately in front of an airport bus stop and just two subway stops from Lotte Dept. Store (the subway is just 10 meters from the front door) makes access quick and easy. (Note: tThe immediate neighborhood lacks many conveniences). Large showers, washlet toilets, large flat TV, free internet and pleasant staff make this a AAA recommendation.

a very nice hotel to stay. Small room but comfy

It is a good price and good hotel to stay. Room was small but well arranged. Room service and staff were good. The only issue that I had encountered was their communication skill was not good when their network server were down. It took 4 people to mess up my laptop for almost an hour before they took my advice to reboot their server even though I had explained to them from the time they walked in to my room. I could not make any international call from my room and no one could figured out. I end up buy phone card. Other these, it is a very good hotel.

The surrounding is a nice area. There is a bus to airport every 20 - 30 minutes. Buy phone card for international call. Most likely your cell won’t work there. Prepare plug converter for your laptop or appliance. Their plug is different from ours here.

Clean, modern hotel with excellent service.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The personnel went out of their way to help me every time I asked, and were extremely courteous. The hotel was new, clean and comfortable, with a nice view.

The taxi drivers did have a little trouble finding the hotel..... beware.

Hotel Kudo In Seoul

This is a clean and new hotel, very good. It is only takes me about 10-min walk to the famous free-market from hotel. And the Sub-way is very nearby. It is pity the room rate does not include breakfast... Anyway, a good choice for business and tourism.

Take subway for transportation, the traffic is terrible nearby.

Nice place but exchange currency at a bank. The hotel does not give exchange at the bank rate.

Located in a lower income portion of town. Still nice. No place to eat or shop local.

Excellent hotel in a developing neighborhood

The interior of the hotel as well as the service provided by the staff is 5 stars. We were very very pleasantly surprised. There’s free broadband in all the rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel is located in a "developing" neighborhood with a lot of small electrical shops but literally no nice places to eat nearby. The nearest convenience store is about 10 minutes away by foot as well. The subway is only 100 meters / yards away, so it’s easy to catch a train or a taxi to the center of town, but I’d prefer other options for my 11pm munchies. The only other bummer was that the room had only a shower and no bath. A very nice shower, but sometimes you just want to soak. I think you can ask for rooms-with-baths specifically if you want -- so check ahead. But overall, I highly recommend this place! I’d stay there again, definitely! It’s the price/performance leader in Seoul right now. My bet is that the price will shoot up as the neighborhood develops, though.

There are literally no local attractions but it’s built right on top of the subway so it’s easy to get anywhere you want. We had no problems travelling around.

New as 4/07 looks pretty good

This new hotel is a winner at the right price. Had a special price so was very impressed. Very good location right in front of the bus stop to ICN airport. Staff is good and trys to help. Conference room is on the expensive side. Breakfast buffet was a cold buffet. Will definitely check the price out for my next trip and see where it falls.
