I’ll skip Microtel Inn and Suites from now on
I haven’t stayed in a hotel that didn’t supply hair shampoo and conditioner for years. They do have a microwave and frig that is convenient but no coffeemaker. The biggest disappointment was the "breakfast." This was the selling point for the hotel and was also the biggest disaster. Breakfast started sometime and round 6:30am and ended at 9 or something. We arrived for breakfast on Friday morning at 7:30 and there was waffle mix to prepare a waffle with but No syrup (there were 2 jelly packets). There was No milk at all---the container was empty. The coffee had to be acquired from an an automatic dispenser but it wasn’t dispensing. This was all acceptable except there was NO ONE available at the front desk. Seriously, we were down in the lobby for at least 20 minutes and NOT ONE hotel person appeared to help with restocking. Meanwhile the phone rang and rang and rang. It probably worked out for the best anyway as there were only 3 tiny tables to sit at and they each had a person or two at them. We solved the problem the next morning--we went down the street to Waffle House. I guess I’m spoiled but I can only assume this is normal operations for this hotel---I won’t recommend or ever visit a Microtel again.

Not very clean
Our room was comfortable but not very clean. Stained seats, floor, and I had a non smoking room that smelled like smoke.
