Please, just say "NO" to "Yes"
Just returned from long-awaited trip to Rome - and have wonderful memories of it all with the exception of our first two nights. Those were the nights we stayed at the Yes Hotel. With the exception of Giuseppi, the friendly and helpful gentleman working the front desk, this hotel very nearly wrecked our vacation. First of all, never was it mentioned in their lovely ad that they COMPLETELY TURN OFF the Air-conditioning after a certain point in the year (like October). Would not be a problem if it were cold outside - but it wasnt. It was unseasonably warm . Apparently the A/C switch was on a time-lock set for April because they refused to turn it on. We slept with the window open to a small blocked-in courtyard with no circulation, and everyone elses personal noises all night long. That, combined with the absolute hardest bed on the planet ( I can do firm - this rivals plywood), and not even Ambien could do the trick. I limped through the sites with an extreme backache brought on by that bed . Mix all that in with a television that is programmed to receive one station (again, not there to watch TV, but needed it to drone out the noises from the courtyard). Top it off with the rudest breakfast room staff - and you have the YES Hotel. We met other couples staying at various locations around Rome and none had the miserable experience we had. In the end we actually forfeited our prepaid night at this place and paid for another hotel (a known and good one). Lesson learned.

Yes! to Yes Hotel
Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Our minimal Italian vocabulary was not a problem. Made accomodations for earlier than usual breakfast on our early travel days. Within walking distance to major transportation and food at all hours. Nice neighborhood including restaurants of many flavors. Outstanding breakfast (definitely not the American "continental"), though after over a weeks stay, some variety in the selection would have been nice. Rooms clean and quiet with enough space for comfort.

Great hotel, great location! 5 min. walk to termini. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. The hotel was always clean. My only gripe might be that the beds were not very comfortable, but I would stay here again. Its a great affordable hotel.

Good location, but...
We stayed at the Yes for our last night in Italy as we were looking for a hotel near Termini. The location was perfect! The hotel is much more modern that the other we stayed at in Italy. BUT... - The shower is a phone booth. I have no idea how it is supposed to work without leaking water all over the floor. - The bed was the hardest of our trip. - The A/C was weak. It couldnt keep up with the 90 degree temps we experienced. Which made for a difficult night of sleep.

Centrally located, moderately priced, excellent service.
This hotel is a block from Termini station where the two main subway lines meet, and also where the Leonardo Express from Fumicino Airport arrives. It is extremely well located for getting around the city, either by bus, train, or cab. The staff are excellent, speak English like natives, and seem genuinely interested in helping tourists. I was zonked coming off a seven hour flight from Boston and they were really good to me coming in from the airport. The room was nice - I should say I spent very little time at the hotel - but while I was there I was happy with the place. You have to leave your room entry card in a slot by the door - if you dont, the lights shut off after a few minutes. Just a heads up about the lights - I had never seen this before. There was a fridge - but I didnt use it. The breakfast bar was quite good and was included. Its not a lavish hotel - but its a good value for the money. I would recommend it.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Capitoline Museums are open until 8:00PM, see the Palatine and Forum first - have coffee, and then see the Capitoline Museums in the evening when they are less crowded.

close to Termini
newly remodeled extra modern and chic, flat screen TV, surprisingly quiet for a hotel at the train station, within walking distance from termini, good breakfast, friendly staff, unlike most hotels in Italy. cons: A/C is stopped by the manager at Midnight so if it summer be prepared to sweat also bring your own soap since the soap provided is minuscule; rooms Very small.

great service great location
The location and staff make this little hotel. The desk staff is helpful and friendly. Giuseppe stands out but everyone spoke English and was happy to help give suggestions directions The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The location is a short walk from Termini, making it ideal for exploring the city by underground. or, bus.

Great Hotel! Definitely recommend it!
This is a very nice modern decorated hotel. Everything is new and perfectly clean. The staff was extremely friendly. It is 5 minutes from the Termini train station, so you do not need a cab from/to the airport. Our room had a universal jack, so we did not need an adopter to plug in our computer. The internet, however, is not included in the price but with there low room rates it was not a problem. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. Free continental breakfast had not so many choices, but was very nice. Very good coffee!

Great boutique hotel near Termini station in Rome
Yes Hotel was an amazing find close to Termini Train Station in Rome. Most properties in the area are old, dated and boring. This hotel is modern and stands out as a beautiful boutique hotel. The staff is super helpful with everything. The breakfast is European style and very filling. From now on its my #1 choice in Rome.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
This hotel is 2 blocks from Termini Train station which saves tons of money when you are flying in and out of Rome. You can take the express train to the airport that will get you there in 30 minutes and leaves every half an our.

Great modern hotel
Overall I would definitely stay in this hotel again. Its a 1 minute walk to the Termini train station and very near restaurants and bus stops. The hotel has modern amenities, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and both my sister and I were very satisfied. The rooms are small and the mattresses are very firm but this was to be expected outside of the USA. The bathroom was above expectations and was modern and comfortable. This hotel was a great find for the price.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Definitely take the Leonardo train from the airport to Termini station (11 euros), then walk to the hotel. It is MUCH cheaper than a taxi!

Very good location and Very helpful staff
The Yes Hotel is just a few blocks from Termini so its a great homebase location for exploring Rome via the public transporation system. I had a double room (for one person) which was small but well appointed. The room was very clean. The thing that distinguishes this hotel is the extremely helpful staff. They had suggestions on how to navigate the Metro, the busses, the streets, and the vast array of eating choices. Id recommend this hotel without hesitation.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Get the Roma Pass. Its well worth the money and it elimionates the hassle of waiting in line at the Collosium.

Great hotel for the money
We were very satisfied overall with our stay at the Yes Hotel. The rooms were adequately sized, with modern clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. The decor was modern and appealing. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful with any questions that we had. The breakfast was good, and there was a computer in the lobby that you could use to access the internet for a small fee. Overall, we were very pleased with all aspects of our room, and we would stay here again.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The hotel is a little far from the main attractions - about a 20-30 minute walk. If youre not up for the exercise, take advantage of the train station, which is only a couple of blocks away.

A good value, great room
I enjoyed the room (which was a typically small European-sized hotel room). The value is the best I could find after doing some research. Neighborhood was safe. Free continental breakfast was very nice. Good service. Very convenient location.

Good hotel for the price paid
The room was small by American standards, but perfectly adequate. The location was excellent for touring purposes, and the neighborhood it was in seemed perfectly safe at night as well as in the daytime. The only problem we had was that the "airconditioning" as is was, was set at what we were told was 23 degrees C., and the room never got comfortable. It was fine since we were on an upper floor and were able to leave the windows open to let in cool air. This was in mid May and I would hate to be there in the summer months when nights are not cool. This not just a problem in one room, as we moved to the upper floor room after the first one we had on the ground level floor had the same problem. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Disappointing Stay
After arriving at the Rome train station, I was happy that my family did not have far to go to drop off our luggage, just a short walk to the hotel. Unfortunately, the area near the train station is not the welcoming picturesque setting that one finds in other areas of Rome. While the room itself was large enough to accommodate this family of 4, it was not comfortable. The beds were just as hard as the sheets (I like a firm bed, but this was ridiculous). The room did not "feel" clean; stray items were left behind in the drawers & small debris traces were left on the floor, a few ants were seen scurrying. The sheets were never changed (we were there for 3 nites) & there were no extra pillows (1 per bed). There was no blanket on the beds, just a bedspread & just one blanket for 4 beds was left in the armoire. The outlet in the bathroom did not work. The window & shutters did block out the noise of the street but left the room stuffy. The breakfast was adequate although there were no hot items. I did see other families at breakfast, but I never felt like this was a safe family area. The room rates exceeded the level of the decor, cleanliness & ambience of the hotel. After some other wonderful experiences on our trip to Italy, this last stay of our journey left us disappointed & eager to get home.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Buy the Roma Pass at the train station (ask at the Tabacchi stand) for 20 euros a person. The pass entitles you to 2 free museum entrances & unlimited train & bus fares for 3 days.

Well located Hotel
Just 1 1/2 blocks away from Termini and its almost new condition made his Hotel a good stay for us in Rome. The only problem we identified is when in rush time the breakfast area is just too small to accommodate all guests and on a couple of ocassions we had to wait for a table.
We were 5 so it was more convenient to book a taxi van than taking the train to the Airport.

My Stay at Yes Hotel
The hotel is very conveniently located to the Roma Central Train station. It is a 2 year old hotel, well maintained. The hotel personnel were very nice and friendly. Towels were changed daily and beds were made in a timely manner. The room has a safe to keep your expensive belongings. We left our passports and other valuables in there. Morning breakfast was OK, not as spectacular as at other hotels like marriot or holiday inns. (my wife tells me that the coffee was awful). Minor observations for folks who are interested ; none that would stop me from recommending the hotel to others are: 1. Even though the room had a/c control in the room, it was centrally managed and controlled at the reception. This was kind of annoying that one had to call the reception to turn it on and they would turn it off shortly there after or perhaps in the middle of the night. The side panels of the shower was cool and was designed to conserve space. The toilet seat was flimsy and would slip sidewise. Other than these minor nuisances, all in all, we were pleasantly surprised at the confort of the hotel, cleanliness and curteous staff.

brand new hotel with american in mind
I had a flat screen tv, free breakfast(step aboe continental). Hotel has recently been refurbished, and nicely done rooms. The only bad side was the marble hallways which allow you to hear someone breathe outside your room. SInce it was a quiet hotel, this did not relaly create too much of an issue. Room size does fall into a steriotpical "europe tradition", but the hotel staff was unurpassed by none. They liekd thier guest and it showed. Biligual as well.
