Love the hotel and the location.. stingy on the soap
The hotel is really convenient. Location: One block from the metro (we took it everywhere). Two blocks from the Lourve so after late night dinner and drinks if you want to unwind in the courtyards of the Lourve (it’s open all night), it’s beautiful. Don’t have breakfast at the hotel. There are plenty of little cafes within 2 block radius (outdoor seating with heat lamps too) to have cheap breakfast. If you go in the direction of the Lourve there is a square of Hotel du Lourve with some nice restaurants and café’s like Café Rue. Take a walk towards the Opera to see some nice Parisian architecture. Hotel: Deluxe room was quite spacious and had a little patio with the fire exit to look out into the courtyard. Bathroom was really big (even for American standards). There is only a hand held shower and the rain, which was a little tough to get used to. They should just install a stand higher in the tub for the hand held so it can used as a shower if needed (as in other European countries). Love the idea of a towel warmer in the bathroom. House keeping was good but my only disappointment is that they wouldn’t replenish the soap in the bathroom. I was at the hotel for 8 days and I had to go ask for soap everyday. You need new soap everyday since the size of the soap is so small it gets unusably small after 2 uses. Staff is quite friendly and helpful. Overall a Thumbs Up.
Opera area and Latin quarters has some really nice restaurants. Parisian style is to have a pre-dinner drink at an outdoor cafe with heat lamps. Preferably eat dinner outdoors too.

Good Location
We were generally comfortable. The room had a view of all the other rooms which was mostly distressing! Our room (Deluxe) was larger than most European rooms and recently redecorated, but they didnt bother to install any drawers...we had to throw our non-hanging clothes on the shelf with the safe. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Located very close to Metro station and museums.
