Good Choice for Artesia
This is a very decent Best Western hotel, solid but nothing fancy. Rooms were quite large, clean and functional, beds were very comfortable, and the room contained a small fridge and microwave. The hotel had a small conference room, a fitness center and indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna. The limited-menu breakfast was included in the price and was very good. Breakfast was served in the on-premises Chinese restaurant which included table service. The staff was OK, not the friendly small town type that we experienced elsewhere in Artesia and throughout New Mexico. The maids would hover in the hallways in the early morning chatting while waiting for you to leave so they could service your room. The front desk staff was OK, nothing exceptional. Overall a pleasant stay in a very good hotel, would stay there again.
