Exceptional Staff, Great Location
The staff in the lobby and the restaurants were extremely courteous and professional. Both Benkay and Torii restaurants were very high quality and great experiences at both. Hotel Nikko is a great location, accessible by walking to all the major shops around Düsseldorf - even the Kö - and only about 15 minutes drive to the airport also. I was pleased to have access to a trilingual (French/German/English) New Testament in the room, placed by the Gideons International. The room also had a bilingual (English/Japanese)edition of _The Teaching of Buddha_, provided by the Society for the Promotion of Buddhism. Next time Im in Düsseldorf, I will be staying at Nikko!
Traveler's tip on dining
Try both Benkay and Torii restaurants in the hotel. Nikko is right in the Japanese district of Düsseldorf, so be sure to check out all the Japanese businesses on Immermannstraße, especially between Oststraße and Charlottenstraße.

Good value for a nice hotel
The hotel is very nice. Im not sure Id call it a 5-star, but the prices were not 5-star and I found a very good value. The location is within an easy walk to any of downtown Dusseldorf and very easy access to the train station. Rooms were clean, comfortable, reasonably sized, and staff was great.
