The hotel basically connects to the airport. No need to take a taxi. I didn’t know this and took a taxi about 100 meters to the entrance.

Perfect ending to my European trip
The Maritim Hotel Duesseldorf is located adjacent to the International Airport (DUS). There is a covered walkway leading to the terminal building (about 400 meters in distance). The hotel is quite modern and has many dining choices, including a sushi bar and Italian buffet. The waitstaff, and all other persons affiliated with the hotel, were both amiable and professional in their jobs. The room was above-average in size for European hotels; bed was very comfortable; shower and bathroom were spotlessly clean; TV was a Flatscreen. Internet was OK - price to access it was a bit higher than I normally pay in Europe. The Maritim has an indoor pool, a large gym with both aerobic and an-aerobic equipment, and a sauna/hammam. These were again, very clean, and very convenient for the guest’s use. A separate elevator from the guest room floor took you directly to the gym/pool/sauna area. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers passing through Duesseldorf or those who would be attending a trade fair at the Messe Center. It seems more suited to business travelers although there are plenty of amenities that would please couples staying for a weekend holiday.

Very nice hotel right next to airport terminal
This is a 4+ star hotel, the lobby is vast with several bars-restaurants. Typical european design but rooms are larger than most in Europe. My room was a little remote but spotlessly clean and about as quite as an airport hotal room can be.

The S bahn has an entrance from nearest terminal or you can take the tram to the Airport train station to get to anywhere in Dusseldorf.
