Novotel- near Grand Place, Belgium--
centrally located to the old part of town- and the central brussels train station--with direct connection to the airport. Hotel is quite modern, nicely furnished, with very comfortable room with amenities. Free internet in lobby--but a charge in the room. Rate included a free breakfast buffet... quite a wide range of offerings. Lobby opened onto a square that became a weekend market place. Very enjoyable. i’d stay here again-- expedia rate was better than i could get on my own.

Great location
This hotel is a GREAT value. Location is fantastic, easy walk to most sights. Friendly front desk staff, great breakfast. Lost of great shopping and food nearby. It was very accessible by train. Took the TGV from Paris and when you get off at Bruxelle Midi, DON’T take the Metro, take the regular rail (free for users of the station) for one stop to Gare Centrale, which we were amazed to see was right next to the hotel. My only gripe is the room design which has the toilet completely separate from the bathroom, so you have to go around the corner of the room just to wash your hands.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
We made the mistake of buying a Metro pass and ended up not using it at all, since all the sights were within walking distance of the hotel. Don’t fail to see Bruges, only an hour away by train from Brussels (trains leave from Gare Centrale every 20 minutes)and is very beautiful. Also, don’t miss the Royal Palace, 15 min walk from hotel and free admission.

Nice hotel in a great location
This was my first time staying at this hotel. We chose it because it’s so close to Grand Place and the price was reasonable. Check in was easy, the room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but was better than I expected. Would definitely go back.
