Won’t stay again!

We booked this hotel for the airport shuttle. I thought complimentary parking was free. It’s not. My fault..I should have asked in advance. The room was not very clean. There was something smeared on the sheet and a bug claw of some sort under the bottom sheet. I slept on top of the covers under some towels. The deadbolt on the door was broken off so we piled furniture in front of the door. The hotel was pretty quiet, but I didn’t sleep anyway...kindof scared obout the deadbolt. There was pieces of broken furniture leaning against the wall, almost resembling clubs.(I have pics of this too!) They lock the lobby at dark because of safety said the girl at the desk...So we had to rush down to use the internet to check our flight status before being locked out. Ice machine did not work. Pool was not bad. I did not complain to them as I was just going to be there one night and was just eager to get to the airport and get on with my cruise. The girls at the desk were nice, but I would not stay at this hotel again.

Hotel is very conveniently located to Graceland and both I-55 and other highways. Comfortable bed and clean room, very affordable.

I dream of Jet engines

I knew we were staying near the airport, for convenience, but did not know that every 15 minutes in the middle of the night the planes would fly overhead. It was so loud, they sounded like they might crash into the hotel. kept waking us up all night long. would never stay here again. also, i asked for an extra pillow, and they told me they could not locate any to give me. what??? Oh, and it smelled like wet dog when we walked in the room.

O.K. for the price

I arrived at 4pm and had to wait almost two hours before my room was ready to check in. The hotel is close to the airport which is great for early flights, but the Fed Ex planes fly all night long which makes for a loud night. No complaints about the room though.

Nasty - noisy people around constantly -- had to leave -

The Babes shop next door brought way to many distractions to the area -- impossible to get a good nights sleep. Hotel employees were nice and helpful.

Great Place, We would stay there again!

Great place to stay. We stayed on the bottom floor. Room was really clean. It was very convienent to everything. The hotel is only about a mile from Elvis Presly Blvd. (the main drag with restaurants). A good place to stay if you are bringing the kids, great comp. breakfast. Safe area.

Must check out Marlow’s BBQ, great place to eat with great service! A little expensive, but worth it. Dyer’s in Memphis is great too; they serve deep fried hamburgers. Parking in downtown is strange make sure you have cash for the parking.

My daughter was stranded at the airporton her way home for Spring break and I called got her a reservation. They had already sent the shuttle to the airport before she had a chance to call and tell them where she was at and made arrangements for the shuttle the next day without her even having to ask. Very clean and nice

The room was actually clean and comfortable. Had fridge, microwave and clean towels. Very strict no smoking policy in non smoking room. Surrounding area not as bad as other reviews made it sound.

Good for the not-so-great area; Friendly staff

Hotel was in a run-down part of the town, just west/southwest of the airport. No good restaurants in the area. Supposedly had high-speed internet access, but they were in the process of installing wireless and things mostly didn’t work. The only three good things that can be said: a) easy access to highways, b) very quick to get to the airport, and c) very friendly and helpful staff.

Not impressed at all

This was in a bad neighborhood but close to the airport. Our airport shuttle was 30 minutes late after verifying our leave time to the front desk 3 times. I won’t go back again.

No coffee pot in room and couldn’t get one after repeated calls to the front. No clean towels and washcloths left after morning cleanup for second day.

The location for the airport was excellent. The room and service for the price was very satifactory.

Some confusion, but it ended well.

At first I couldn’t find the Quality Inn, since I had forgotten to bring my note with the address. How hard can it be to find a Quality Inn sign on the streets near the airport, after all? Finally I pulled into a Sleep In, remembering that it was another member of the same chain. Clerk there said the Sleep Inn had been a Quality Inn until recently, looked at his computer, said I was at the right place. Okay, I was a little tired and decided I could accept that explanation. Room was prepaid through Expedia; if he was happy, I was happy. The room itself was everything I expected --nothing more, nothing less. Clean, comfortable, quiet, everything worked, and the king-size bed I had requested felt better than my own bed at home. (Maybe I should start shopping for a new mattress.) Did one Choice Motels member "hijack" me from my intended motel, or was the desk clerk telling the truth? To be honest, I don’t know and don’t care. It didn’t cost me a penny extra, the room was nice, and I was tired by the time I got there. I’d recommend this Sleep Inn (or whatever name it has next time) to anyone looking for comfortable overnight lodging near Memphis International Airport.

Airport noise

This Quality Inn is the basic "you get what you pay for." The real rub is the noise from FEDEX take offs and landings all night long at the nearby Memphis Airport. Bring your noise cancelling earphones.

I usually don’t worry about noise near airports at night because there are so few late night flights. However, at this Quality Inn near the Memphis Airport FEDEX planes come and go ALL NIGHT LONG.

real pleased

I was real pleased with the hotel and the service. the room was very spaciuos. The housekeeping was excellent.

Not up to par

Refrigerator did not work. It took 3 hours for management to respond. Shuttle driver did not show up in the morning. On the plus side there was a cab waiting and the hotel paid for it. The linens were worn and the air conditioning had two settings freezing and off.

Good hotel for the money

This hotel was just right for what we paid for it. The staff was friendly, our room was clean, and the neighborhood seemed alright. It’s right off the freeway, so it’s really easy to get around from there. Just a few issues: 1)the bathroom was really small, but at least it was clean; 2)The planes flying overhead at night are infrequent, but loud; 3)the continental breakfast basically consisted of bread and instant cereals.

As well as being close to the freeway and just a short drive from Graceland, there is a tourist information office just a few blocks away. This made it really handy for us to get maps and tickets without having to go very far at all.

Getting to the hotel

The shusttle does not run after 9 which made us take a cab and that cost extra $12.50 for the trip to the hotel for our stay. We did not need to be at the airport until late am the next day and the shuttle stopped at 9 am. They did get the man to take us and that was wonderful even t ho it made for quite a wait to meet the plane. Overall I would stay there again
