pleasantly surprised
after reading the reviews for this hotel, i was leary of making a reservation. i called them to inquire as to their shuttle service and john, the front desk attendant, was more than helpful. i had to call back because i also needed an early check-in. i was told by patrick, that if a room was available it could be done and it was. the shuttle service worked out great. i was there for a 2 day interview at UofF and this hotel shuttled me back and forth, provided me with a confortable, clean room and great customer service. when i arrived i missed the shuttle, the driver was called and he came back to pick me up. i was also dropped off at the airport when i left (gainesville airport). i would most definitly stay here again .

A fantastic hotel!
I had an amzing room overlooking a truly spectacular lake view. The room was extremely comfortable. I highly recommend upgrading or booking the suite. The staff was very friendly and had a lot of fun with front desk staff and bartender.

Not impressed
The hotel was laid out strangely, not a very secure feeling for someone alone and having to walk outside to get to other parts of the hotel
