Cool hotel
Three of us staied for 1 night in hotel California and it’s a great hotel, near the center. With very good service... Food was great, room was great and most of all Sofia is a cheap place to be, so all the best words for all planing to stay in Sofia in choosing this hotel, you will be pleased.

No Air Conditioning
Hotel was so so but staff was strange sometimes. Told us that cannot guarantee to be able to wake us up at 3:30am because might forget. Also there is no air conditioning in any of the rooms! Very difficult to receive and make any calls (even if local). Have to ask front desk to dial them and they sometimes tell you that they are too busy
Traveler's tip on nightlife
take tram 9 for two stops in direction away from the mountain and you are in the middle of shopping, dining, and bars.
