It was fantastic!

We stayed at Innisbrook for 4 nights and loved every single day of it. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are big and we felt like home. Short distance to stores and beach. Traffic is crazy there! So if you need to be somewhere on time you should definitely plan ahead and leave early.

We didnt have our children with us, but Lochnes pool looks like fun. If it just you and him the best pool is Island Pool, it is very quiet there throughout the day and the water is very comfortably warm.

Will definitely return

Even though we are not golfers, we really enjoyed our stay at Innisbrook and will definitely go back. The kids loved the Loch Ness pool area with waterslides, and we enjoyed the poolside bar with frozen drinks. Most days we stay there instead of site seeing around Florida. Our room had a small kitchenette which was great for breakfast and occasional suppers.

Will in all likelihood go back

Grounds and golf courses were great. Monster pool was lots of fun for both young and old. I couldn’t believe the great rates for playing golf especially at such a high class course. Have already recommended it to several of my golfing friends.

Beautiful and serene

Innisbrook is fabulous. Our room overlooked a golf green beside moss covered trees. Quiet pool with top-shelf service near our room; livlier action at Lockness pool including snacks and drinks. Lack of elevator was only a drawback upon arrival with luggage and groceries, but with only 3 floors we managed. Staff is very accommadating. We will definitely return.

Not impressed

Innisbrook closes all their on site facilities like the pool, work out room, etc. at 8pm even though people were still using them. It was still daylight outside!!!!!! Once they ran us out of the hot tub telling us the manager said to close at 6pm since it was rainy. Our oven did not work. They sent a maintenance man who couldn’t fix it and never offered to deduct anything to compensate for it. Have 2 teenage daughters that went with us and they hated it. Pool area was awesome but they need to keep it open later.

We’ll come back time again

We have now stayed at Innisbrook twice and we don’t even golf! Just went there for the comfort and accommodations, plus proximity to areas like Tarpon and Clearwater. We have been there in the off-season when the resort is quiet and very private. Our room was very comfortable and more like staying in an apartment than a hotel. We didn’t pay much more than staying at a discount place right on the main roads and instead we got a world class resort. Gated grounds beautifully maintained, multiple choices for excellent and casual dining, peace and quiet; what more could you want?

Will be back

This will definitely be on our short list for local get-aways. The resort has so much to offer for either a quiet, romantic adventure respite or a family vacation with plenty of possible activities for the kids. These activities range from day camps to various pools on the property. We will be back. The great off season rate we got(June 2009) helped quite a bit as well.

Want to go back ASAP!

Love this resort tucked away in 900 acres of impeccably maintained grounds! We stayed in the executive suite and the room was large-could have fit 4 people comfortably with 2 queen beds, a pullout couch and dining table for 4. The beds were SO comfortable/the water pressure in the shower was perfect (I hate dribbly showers!) We had no problem whatsoever with the air conditioning...there were heat advisories of 110 degrees when we were there and the room was a cool 70 degrees. The LochNess pool had some nice waterslides and is great for the kiddies, but for couples find another pool...there are 5 others to choose from so you should’t have a problem. The staff were the best I have ever come across...they couldn’t be friendlier or more helpul. They even took you to your room upon check in so you didn’t get lost. The pictures on the website do not do this resort justice. It was peaceful and serene and we even had some encounters with wildlife on the nature walk (mostly birds - not alligators thankfully!). It is not an ultra modern hotel, but the room decor was tasteful and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. The new bar at the main guest entry is very nice, with outdoor seating and a large firepit that can easily seat 12 people around it. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to the beach (15 min.drive to Honeymoon Island) and other nearby Tampa area attractions! You will not be sorry!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Try to get at least the executive suite as it has a small kitchenette-stove, half fridge, microwave flatware and plates already stocked. Make some meals yourself to save $ -drinks are relatively expensive at the resort, but I live close to Manhattan so, sadly, I am used to these prices when going to a bar! There is a Publix supermarket about a mile away. There are also plenty of places on US Hwy 19 to go grab a bite to eat....you are right off the Hwy so you have easy access to most places!

MY choice of hotel even though I’m not a golfer

This is a beautiful oasis of a property with golf courses, walking trails, water, a cedar swamp, natural foliage and tons of birds. I love having a kitchen, and sitting area and a nice big clean bed. The staff is well trained and very accommodating. The building styles are probably 50’s or 70’s with wood and stone construction with cedar shake roofs but they fit beautifully into the environment and are clean. This is a place you can rejeuvenate from any stressful business dealings because it’s peaceful.

Great Escape

I would highly recommend Innisbrook Resort. The entire complex was extremely well maintained and the staff was more than accommodating. They responded to all of our needs in a timely and professional manner. The resort also has a great family pool with all the amenities that are important to children as well as their parents. The golf course was pristine as you might imagine as they host an annual PGA event. The wildlife was a bonus as the Ospreys were spectacular and the beaches are approximatley 1-2 miles driving distance. They have a complimentary shuttle to the beach for your added convenience. We can’t wait to go back.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Be sure to take the shuttle to Caladesi Island State Park. The beach was recently voted #1 in America!

Innisbrook Resort and Hotels

Being from the Clearwater/Palm Harbor area, in fact not three miles from our old home, Innisbrook is usually my choice when in the Tampa Bay area. The grounds, the rooms, the staff, the golf courses for the most part are spectacular, and being close to friends and the best restaurants are also a big benefit. I would recommend Innisbrook to anyone looking for a high quality stay. C

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

With 2 PGA style gollf courses, and two others for lesser players, Innisbrook will fully accomodate your stay....

Entire family wants that as our Fl hotel

I’ve read many of the previous comments regarding the resort as outdated. While not state of the art, it’s hardly a throwback to 10 years ago. We had a 2 bedroom room that was essentially a condo. Flat screen t.v., t.v.’s in all bedrooms, sufficient air conditioning and very comfortable beds. All staff were extremely polite and helpful. Resort fees are minimal so not sure why everyone is in an uproar over that. If you take advantage of all the benefits for the fees, then it’s a savings. Food and drink prices - forget it. Go to local haunts such as Mollygoodheads in Ozona and Frenchy’s at C. Beach. They are fun but perfect for relaxed beach atomsphere. Pools fantastic. Great travel distance to Honeymoon Island, Caladesi and C. Beaches.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

In a room such as ours, a local trip to Winn Dixie or Publix takes care of preparing breakfast. During the penny pinching time, that helped. Load up on a cooler with all you beverages and transfer to the refrigerator (in our room for example). Hey, it’s a resort but I’m not too proud to say we took advantage of every opportunity to save money. Gave us the opportunity to enjoy more. B. Gardens celebrating 50 years...must see for fireworks and night drops on the roller coasters.

Beautiful Resort - Rooms Need Updating - but very clean

Room had no blackout curtains - Sunrise woke us up. Doors between our room and next door allowed light to come in too. There was no refrigerator unless I bumped up to the executive suite. The landscaping inf facilities were great and other then those complaints mentioned above had a good time.

Relaxing Getaway for whole Family!

Innisbrook had all of the amenities of a ritzy hotel, but with the quaint ambiance of a quiet retreat to nature. We had lovely, reasonably priced meals in 2 of many restaurants to choose from. While we played in the kid-friendly pool with our daughter, we also had a more peaceful dip in another pool, both walking distance from our room. My husband enjoyed the golf lesson and although enjoyed a round of golf, would recommend spending the extra money to get onto Copperhead instead of the other courses.

Embarassed!

I put up an out of town guest for Memorial Day weekend and I was embarassed by the mediocre service. They may run a world class golf club but the hotel ranks along side a Red Roof Inn. The air conditioning broke down every day! One technician told my guest not to set the thermostat to less than 77 degress! My guest also had to call for fresh towels and came back to find them in a plastic bag on the floor. My advice, stay away!

Enjoyed our stay

We had a two bedroom unit right next to the loch ness pool. It was clean, spacious, and well stocked with kitchen necessaries. The beds were absolutely wonderful - probably the best bedding I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The hallways didn’t appear to have air conditioning, but this didn’t noticeably affect our room. We had plenty of room to entertain guests. The kitchen table had seating for 6, but there was room for more chairs. The kitchen was large -- you can definitely prepare your meals in-house. Loch Ness pool had a zero entry pool, which our toddler LOVED. Loch Ness also has a 36 person hot tub that is fantastic. The older kids enjoyed the waterslide.

Our room faced the Loch Ness Pool and we could hear the Saturday night movie until it ended around 10PM. Luckily, our toddler didn’t seem to be bothered by it. Also, the kitchen (in the 2 bd/2bath) can be gated off with a small baby gate.
