Aesthetically Pleasing, but DIRTY
We stayed in a jet tub suite which was very large and had a fantastic bathroom. However, we found hairs on the linens and in the tub, garbage not thrown away and supplies not restocked. We called the front desk and were moved to another suite. The next room was worse than the first. This one also had hairs on the linens and trash in the room, but the linens themselves were very rough and worn out. There was also a stain on the duvet cover and the lamp next to the bed was not working. There was dust on every surface and you could easily tell that they didn’t move anything in order to get it clean. The rug was also very dirty under the tables and desk. In this room there was food and wrappers in the wall mounted heater. Upon calling the front desk again we were moved after 20 minutes of waiting. The third room at least had hair free linens, but the bathroom counter was dirty, the shower was moldy and smelled (as did the previous two). This room like the others had trash behind tables and stands as well as a thick layer of dust. In this bed there was a broken spring that stuck you in the back all night. When asking management if they wanted to see what we were complaining about they showed no interest. They simply asked if we wanted another room or to stay someplace else. We got the impression that lack of cleanliness was a common issue there because of the lack of concern by management as well as over hearing another guest checking out complaining of some of the same issues.

Very impressed
Pleasantly surprised by the cleanesss and cordial staff. Excellent location. Staff was kind to bring me another remote at a late hour when the battery went dead. The breakfast omlet was great because of the variety offered and it was was nice to know that they catered to all because they also carry egg beater for some of us that are cholesterol watching. Overall experience was great. I will come back again because I live in Painted Post, NY and come to shop in Rochester periodically
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Ontario beach is worth checking out if you are dying to get to some sands and can not make it to Florida for a while. It is clean and nice for a family getaway. Bring a jacket. It is about 15 miles from the hotel

Convenient to RIT
Relatively close to the school, with several eating places nearby. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable accommodations. Overall a nice hotel.
