Amazing resort, beautiful views, luxurious
We would recommend this hotel to anyone going to La Fortuna and we would definitely stay there again! The resort was beautiful, with your own cabin and wonderful garden. Our cabin, the restaurant and pools had beautiful views of the volcano with the lush forest backgrounds. Wonderful for a family trip or even a romantic getaway!

Should be rated higher!
Hotel Manoa is a wonderful find near the volcano in Arenal, Costa Rica. the rooms were very clean, the views were beautiful, the grounds were extremely well maintained, and the people were overly helpful. We loved the beds (so comfy) and the bathroom with the skylights WOW! Breakfast could have offered some variety or at least been a little better serviced, ie if you werent there when it opened you may not get the pancakes or eggs! ALTHOUGH all we had to do was ask and they got us whatever we needed.

Satisfied guest
The hotel is in a good location a few hundred meters off the main road making it quiet with adequate security. The bungalows are quite spacious with very large, nice baths. The included breakfast is a buffet (with one station for made-to-order eggs/omelets) and is OK for a buffet (which isnt saying much - we did not dine in the hotel restaurant for any other meal since we decided to try a few of the local restaurants, a couple of which were quite good). The view of the volcano from every bungalow verandah appears to be good, and the grounds are well landscaped and maintained. Overall, a very nice, comfortable, clean hotel with friendly, courteous staff.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The unpaved road to the hotel is about as good as one can expect in Costa Rica and, if driving, note that the road to the hotel is not well marked and somewhat hidden next to the entrance to the Volcano Lodge. I would also recommend asking for a bungalow at the rear of the property (across the small lagoon) since those appear to be the newest as well as closest to the restaurant.
