Sufficient
We arrived at 4 pm and our room wasnt ready. We left our suitcases by the front desk and returned 3 hours later and they were still there. The room was dark and gloomy. We asked for an additional pillow but were told they didnt have one. The customer service was poor.

Great place to stay if youre traveling by train and want to see Le Mont St Michel
We found this hotel comfortable and clean. The bathroom in our room (101) was huge and the bed was comfortable. I didnt like being on the ground floor with the street right outside our window, but for two nights I could deal with it. The biggest negative is that you can hear everything in the hallway. Minor negative, the breakfast buffet didnt have any eggs. The best thing is that we were about 100 yards from the train station (but did not hear the trains) and the bus to Le Mont St Michel picks up at that station. I had read other reviews about the hotel, saying that the staff was unpleasant. We did not experience this. They were not overtly friendly, but not rude either. Sometimes, I think you get what you expect from people.
Traveler's tip
By bus, a one way trip to Le Mont St Michel from Pontorson is 2 euro. We were practically the only ones on the bus and it dropped us off at the foot of Michel. I felt bad for all the tourists that drove, had to park in congested lots, and then walk about a half mile. I recommend the bus!

Not impressed
The pictures of the room are much better than the actual room. The hotel is modernized but with chintzy materials. It felt like a dolls house. The bed was very uncomfortable, very hard and low. It listed it as a king size bed but was in fact two small twins, made separately and pushed together. The room very small with no dresser or any type of drawers. They have a nice restaurant but it was a bit pricy. The management was not terribly friendly or helpful--just all business. The biggest dissapointment was that one half of the hotel rooms are directly on the railroad tracks--not a pretty site, very desolate and dim. Fortunately we had the other side which was at least a street--but it was very noisy.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The hotel is close to Mont St. Michel--a must see during your stay. The town of Pontorson is not special at all. Most of the store fronts were closed, and the ones that were open seemed dingy and uninviting. I would not ever go back there.
