Tropea is a Hidden Treasure
Tropea is a hidden treasure set high on anciently built cliffs with beautiful beach below. The hotel did not match the scenery. I said you cannot have a bad meal in Italy...Hotel Virgilio’s sad breakfast is an exception... combined with surly front desk help and a room with half a balcony and steep steps up and down to the bathroom...it was a bad experience. The only good I can say is that the location was fine but book it only if you have no other choice and be prepared to be awakened at 8:15am on Sunday by the fire alarm of bells coming from the cute church across the street. It did have underground parking.
