Won’t be returning

Poor customer service from check-in to departure. Most unfriendly staff I have ever met, Construction noise from early am to late pm every day. Everything is overpriced from restaurant to bar service and the food was terrible with the exception of pizza. Paid $50P for a small half glass of wine. $15 USD for a nasty bottle of wine in the restaurant that would probably sell for $1.99 anywhere else. Room floors were filthy, no screens on the sliding doors, ’no see-ums’ everywhere including the bed. We were in a remodeled room which overall was lovely, however, the sofa in the livingroom was a daybed with no arms and only pillows to support your back. Our legs stuck straight out like sitting on a bed sideways. Nope, won’t be going back there. I could go on...

Being from the San Francisco bay area, we know what great seafood tastes like. We received several recommendations for the seafood at Lorenzillo’s. IMO they are ridiculously overpriced. The lobster was precooked, then removed from the shell and broiled which left it a overcooked and tough. Don’t waste your money. The best food we ate was across the street from the Fiesta Americana Vacation Club. Unfortunately, upon receiving the bill we realized that he had done a bait and switch with the menus. Unfortunately, nothing we could do but pay what he was charging. My advice, stay at an all inclusive, but check the forums for details about the quality of the food first.

Not the right place if you’re looking for fun

the Hotel is a TIME SHARE for locals. If you are looking for fun and tourist attraction in Cancun, this is not the right place to be. most clients are families with KIDS flooding the swimming pool. food is somewhat average. Bad Room Service. We had to call front desk every day to tell them to clean the room

Cancun’ best kept secret

What a nice surprise! The Fiestamericana Cancun is the value for money with clean rooms and the most friendliest hotel staff to serve you. The property is smaller but has almost everything including nice pool, a private beach and a beach front resaurant which serves more than the Mexican cuisine. We enjoyed our stay very much and we highly recommend Fiestamericana Cancun for those vacationers who likes to get away from large and inpersonal luxuary hotels. Thank you Fiestamericana Cancun!!!

Traveler's tip on dining

Teppan Yaki semi Japanese restaurant, Micado, at Mariott in Cancun is an excellent way to take a rest from the Mexican cusine. Recommend surf and turf combo.

A good place;

Enjoyed my stay here, clean and comfortable suites, great pool and beach area with poolside bar and restaurant-had a good breakfast buffet. Concierge was very helpful in researching ground transportation for me; I will definitely return!

Fiesta Americana once again was Wonderful

I’ve stayed at this hotel before it became a members only resort. They release the rooms to others to book online within 3 mths of travel. Excellent as always and would highly recommend this hotel. The staff is friendly and they really try to make everything comfortable. They make you feel like your one of the family and know you from the time you step in the hotel.

Taco Factory... the mexican "taco bell". A resturant you sit and get served at a very reasonable price.

Always Wonderful !

I’ve have always recieved very good service. The hotel staff is great most have been there for years. The beach is wonderful with little waves. I will return again in December or January. I have stayed at this Hotel many times. The Seahorse Resturant across the street is Great.
