No frills place to sleep.
Great location if you don’t mind climbing a lot of very steep stairs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was kept clean except for our little mouse friend who ate all of our chocolate at night. The breakfast was a nice continental breakfast with good coffee. Nice place to stay if you are backpacking Europe and not looking for luxury.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Place is easy to miss, look for the blue Hotel sign to make it easier to find. It is located above a frites shop (French fry stand.) Excellent location near all of the cities attractions. Five minute walk from Central Station. Very easy access to trams, trains, and metro.

Damrak
Damrak apparently owns two hotels near each other. They both are rather poor hotels. The furniture and furnishings are cheap and old.

Reasonable choice
Can’t beat the location. It is clean and the bathrooms have been renovated. The staff is polite and helpful. Wireless Internet works but encryption is enabled, get the codes at the front desk. It is true that the stairs are steep, but how often do you need to go up? Little things that they should add: more hangers, towel hooks on the bathroom, "Do not disturb" signs.
