I always stay at this hotel while in Seoul.
The best deal is to stay on the executive level. Lot’s of "perks’ and personalized help. Shuttle bus to shopping area is a big plus.

Shop at Itewon using the shuttle bus. You can bargan for everything.

A Pleasure to Stay
I reserved the Executive Room. Checkin was an ease and the service was excellent. My friend and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. Location-wise, it was ideal for us. Seoul station is a walk away. The metro is nearby as well. The South Gate was standing while we were there, however, and unfortunately, it is no longer standing due to the fire. In any case, the local shopping is a 10 minute walk away and western style department stores are nearby as well.

Concierge was rude.
The hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean. very thin walls. you can hear neighbors, bathroom flushing etc. I would not rate it 5 star. The concierge (one in particular) was very rude. He needs to take a lesson in servicing clients. He seemed to think that he was above everyone and was not very helpful when assistance was requested. He will look at you up and down and if you did not dress well enough, he will dismiss you like you are nobody ( we were in jeans & sweater) The younger bell man was much more friendly and helpful than the concierge. I wish I had gotten the bell man’s name so I could forward it to their management. They should promote this young man to be concierge. Over all, for its price, it is not a 5 star hotel. Location was great. It is near Namsan-Seoul tower,seoul train station,market and only 10 min away from Myong dong or insadong.
