Good except for street noises

Good services, modern facility, and nice location made up for street noises. Hotel staff were very attentive and kind enough. We stayed for sightseeing, actually mostly back to the hotel at night. So, didn’t mind so much. This hotel appears pretty modern, but I saw some clues of old building here and there. I would say they were somehow well hidden.

Nice hotel in a great area

I chose this hotel because of its location, at the lovely Orchard St. section of town. Also, they had a wonderful special rate. The hotel was very nice, especially at this rate.

The Singapore Botanic Garden is just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. This is a great place to get away, or to run (if you happen to be a runner...)

Great staff

I cannot say enough about the majority of the staff. With one exception, the people were fantabulous! We made friends with many of the staff. The only hiccup came after 24+ hours of travel, while checking in at 1 am, the room was not ready with the requested crib and rollaway. After that, everything else was 4+ stars. The executive lounge amenities are worth the extra cost: continental breakfast, free WiFi, cocktail hour and a really responsive staff. Previous comments about the hotel needed in a facelift are correct, but the room was in decent condition. The location worked really well for both taxi rides and the train.

Really Great!!

Everything about this hotel is great. Firstly, its location on Orchard Street is very central and convenient. There are many shopping malls close by and lots of places to eat. The underground rail station is within 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Secondly, the service was fantastic - from the door man to the concierge to the restaurant staff and everyone else!! Thirdly, the food was great - the breakfast was delicious with a great deal of variety of dishes to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!!

You have to try out one of the East Coast Sea Food Restaurants. There are many fine restaurants in this area, all within walking distance of each other. The prices are very reasonable and the ambiance is great. We also recommend the Hawker Street in the Financial District, for great local fare at very cheap prices. Both these locations are about 15 to 20 minutes by taxi from the hotel.

Nice Hotel once I had a room

There was confusion the first night and they had given my room away. After solving that problem, the stay was very nice. Breakfast was excellent! Hotel was very clean! I was nicely compensated for the mix up at the beginning!

Clean and Crisp Singapore Orchard HIlton

My stay at Singapore’s Hilton at Orchard road was so relaxing. After a day full of shopping and the warm and humid weather outside, it felt fantastic to stay in their clean room, nice beds, elegant bathrooms not to mention the friendly and accommodating hotel staff.

Dilapidated, tired

Apparently this hotel has gone through refurbishment. My non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor smelt of smoke. The carpet had stains, the bathroom was badly designed and of poor finishing. The hotel has no lobby to speak of. So having arrived early and having to wait for my room, I was told there wasn’t anywhere half-comfortable to even sit around. No offers to use the spa to freshen up. When I did manage to find a chair near the reception area, I was very rudely told that I could sit, but would be asked to leave if they found my eyes had shut!

Well run and up to date

We were greeted by a frindly staff and a really nice room that was modern and quite. When the staff heard that we may have to leave before the included (room package) breakfast room opened at 6 am, they offered a contintental breakfast delivered to our room. Turns out, we were able to take advantage of the breakfast buffet which was quite extensive and high quality.

Include the breakfast package with the room booking. It’s worth the added cost.

I’m very impressive especially with Hotel’s employees. They always greeted their customers. The room is very luxury and full of necessary facilities.

Great stay in Singapore

The staff at Hilton Singapore was great. Everyone that helped me called me by name for the rest of my stay and were very helpful. They even offered to change my check-out time to match my travel schedule. Hotel location was also great. My only complaint is the $25 USD internet charge....per day!!! That is absolutely ridiculous!!! Go somewhere else and use the free wi-fi.

No return planned until they update

Out of date decor and maintenance--ie doors did not close, ceiling panels fell down, extreme moldy smells in executive suite. Very friendly and helpful staff but they are let down by there management.

Hilton Singapore good value and central location

The Hilton Singapore may not be the most up to date hotel in Singapore or the plushest but its central location and good rates make up for any shortcomings. We stayed in the Executive Level rooms and the lounge is rather small so it was crowded during cocktail hour. My only complain is that for the number of Club level rooms the lounge should really be bigger, but the service was good.

Good location on Orchard Street

While this is one of the older hotels in Singapore, it has been very well maintained and has a great location. It is right on Orchard Street next to the "Taka" shopping center (one of the two large malls in Singapore - the other being center point). It has easy access to wherever you want to go to in Singapore - my room was very clean and well maintained and the staff were extremely helpful and willing to please.

The "Taka" shopping center is just a couple of blocks from the hotel - this consists of several buildings and has stores ranging from the most exclusive to small shops

Nice Hotel

This is a nice hotel with a good location near the shopping on Orchard Road. The only real thing that was annoying is the elevator that requires you to use your room key each time you use it. So if you’re in a rush or have your hands full of stuff, it’s a real hassle to get out the room key and slide it in for the elevator to allow you to go anywhere.

Better options in Singapore

Regular travelers will know that Hilton hotels are hit and miss, some are good but many have seen better days. This hotel needs a refurbishment. The service was pretty average for the region.

Newly renovated rooms

Good experience after recent renovation. My family and I just returned from our 5 days trip and have no complains abt this hotel. We stayed on the 8/F and all three rooms were clean and relatively spacious in Asian terms. We also rented the executive room which was huge with 2 bathrooms, living room and very spacios master bedroom. The breakfast on the 22/F for executive room and at the cafe for deluxe rooms were good. Very good location with connecting path to the Four Season hotel. We recommend this hotel.

overall if I HAVE TO STAY ok.....

my over all view is ok... , but i must say the hotel felt as if you are in a shopping mall.the room was good but the cleanliness of the bathroom and its facilities could IMPROVE a great deal.Will i go back again NO i will pay more and stay else where!!!

Great location, solid performance

Concierge area needs some improvement, staff there appeared quite stressed out and provided only mediocre service quality. Executive lounge staff provided consistent top class service and had great F&B offering all day long. Room was well appointed and in very good condition.

Exceeded all expectations!

I initially chose the Hilton on name alone but as soon as i was greeted and had a couple of my issues taken care of with no fuss, i knew it’d be a great stay! the staff was always courteous and the services/facilites were top notch. i will not think twice about staying at the Hilton Singapore the next time I’m there.

A short taxi ride away from the Quays and Chinatown. The hotel is well-placed and the area is never boring.

Ideal Location and Excellent Service

We enjoyed our stay in Hilton Hotel which was close to shopping, food and the MRT station. The room was very comfortable, spacious, bright and clean. Everyone was very polite and helpful. We would stay in this hotel again.
