Wasted Money and ruined a vacation
Booked a last minute trip and decided to stay here because of the low prices. Boy do we wish we had spent the extra money to stay at a nicer place. They gave us a tiny room with a balcony with a view of the parking lot and partial ocean view, the walls of the balcony was dirty. Carpet smelled. The staff is very unfriendly and unprofessional. Will suggest you spend a little extra and stay somewhere else as you may be very displeased.

I apologize for our confusion on the balcony walls not being clean as we have room styles from Petite all the way up to One bedroom suites, unfortunately, since the hotel was built back in 1926, all of petite studios (our smallest size room) does not have balcony’s on them and the only few balconies that we have are in our larger room styles. We are also working diligently to complete these historic renovations and at the same time not disrupt our guest stay. We have completed the 1st phase and 2nd phases of our 3 stage renovation project which have included the upgrading of the hallways with new carpet, new doors in all rooms, enclosure of the hallways, elevator lobby’s, new guest lounge area with full Wi-Fi access, new historic look furniture in the lobby, new ceiling tin’s throughout the entire hotel, a new security door leading to the hotel floors that only our guest or security personnel can access. The second step to start in Spring 2010 will be to prepare the building for concrete restoration and painting and then add the architectural features to the building bringing the “Grand Lady” back to its original fame and glory that it once enjoyed in the 1920’s and 30’s. We value our customers and their opinions and want everyone to have a pleasurable experience as guests of our hotel. We apologize for your issues with our staff and want to assure you that we give our entire staff extensive customer training on an ongoing basis not only through our in-house training but also directly from Ramada’s guest services training. Good location
Nice location right on the beach with the best beach bar in the area right outside of hotel. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable, but overall the hotel is a decent place to stay for a beach vacation.

Not Bad at all
The hotel was what I expected the lobby was in great condition. They had store on cite not over priced. The staff was great the room was alittle small but not bad they could of updated alittle more though. I would stay there again. Oh we arrived at 1230pm check wasnt till 4pm they had us in our room by 1250pm thanks for great stay and we will see you again

Great Location!!!
The location is great...its right on the beach and about 10 minutes from the airport. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and no problems checking in! This may be my new favorite hotel when im in the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood area.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Using the valet parking is well worth the money.

It was ok
The room was ok besides there were hairs all in the bed. That was pretty gross, otherwise it was ok.

Stayed several times and will stay again.
Truly enjoy staying here. The ambience is historic with a bit of luxury, not ostentatious. The beach is right there! The broadwalk (not misspelled) is very pleasurable to experience and explore. Stores, restaurants, bars, ice cream, bandshell. People watching. The pool is not open after 8pm, which I found not to my liking. Parking isnt free, but the price overall is very favorable. I will go back again and again.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Enjoy the boardwalk (broadwalk); the beach, the pool, the restaurants in the area. Drive down to South Beach and go the Jerrys Deli (formerly Pumpernicks); Roccos Pizzeria on Johnson St off the boardwalk; Hard Rock Seminole Casino; Emerald Isle all you can eat buffet in Sunny Isles; the racetrack is nearby; so is Landshark stadium for Miami Dolphins (want to go to Dolphins v Jets!); walk around downtown Hollywood Beach.

Would stay here again
This ramada has been around since the 30s.. it was the Hollywood beach resort. Currently it is being restored to what it used to be so there is alot of work going on. Rooms were nice. Pool and beach were awesome. Cant wait to go back when its fully restored

Not Impressed
Our room was a no smoking but we smelled smoke all night it was coming in from the air conditioner vents NOT GOOD!! No curtians on the two windows in room only shades??

Love this Hotel
In alittle over 1 year I went to Hollywood, Florida 3 times. I went for some fun, relaxation, beautiful beaches and sun. Oh, and less than a 1/2 hour away from the Miami Dolphins stadium!!!!! Really to get away from Wisconsin where the weather sucks. Each time I went I stayed at the Ramada Hollywood Beach Hotel. They are reasonable prices with high standards. I would stay there 1000 times more. Best hotel on the beach. Youre 10 minutes away from Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Perfect location.

Its hard to put in just 1 category. Great place for families and for night life. The hotel is on a boardwalk with shops, resturants, and bars.

Great Location, good business model but some flaws
This is a historic hotel and one can feel the history when one is there. This Hotel has the advantage of being located directly on the Ocean Walk. Once you leave the Hotel you are on the ocean walk and a mere 10 ft from the beach. The location hence cannot be beat. The Ocean Walk is littered with other hotels, and restaurants, so the atmosphere is thoroughly enjoyable. Another big advantage is that the Hotel operators were prescient enough to rent out several spaces to small businesses that provided their own restaurant and retail services in the hotel. And their prices werent outrageous. The hotel staff was also great. The disadvantages are as follows. 1. The gym could have been better. 2. You have to pay for parking per day. 3. No wireless internet. If one can bear with the above, the location and the historicity of the hotel is worth it.

We have a state of the art Wi-Fi operation installed and have been getting great reactions on this. Also, the entire area around our hotel is complete Wi-Fi so even on the Broadwalk you can access the internet. Our fitness center was recently re-done with new work out carpeting to cushion the impact of the workouts and all of our equipment, step machines, treadmills, stationary bikes, weight machines, free weights, etc. have been checked to ensure the efficiency and durability of all of these. We don’t control the parking as it is handled by a private company but we do check the rates to ensure that we are in line with the other hotels in the surrounding area. Also they do have a weekly rate available for our guest. It was nice to hear about the front desk. They work exceptionally hard to make every guest feel special. You get what you pay for
Good location but even though hotel was renovated it still looks very old and run-down. We paid for an ocean view but what we really got was a terrace view... could only see one thin line of ocean waaaay in the back (this was on 3rd floor). Asked for another room but were told that there were none available. Breakfast is Ok. Hotel has a pool but you have to pay to use chairs and umbrellas (!).

Several places to eat on the boardwalk, a few blocks away from hotel or in OMalleys (right on the beach and right outside the hotel).

In addition all of the tempered glass windows in the building will be replaced with a sliding window that is impact resistive hurricane resistive glass. We offer our guest oceanview rooms for their stay but in some cases when our occupancy level is very high that will cause some of the lower floor oceanview rooms to be used. Our oceanfront heated pool offers pool chairs, lounges, pool towels and umbrellas at minimal fees for guest use as we do not have any type of resort fee’s like other resort have.. Sincerely,

Not impressed at all
Unclean Hotel! I Have changed 3 Times the Hotel Room because it was Dirty, Hair on the Floor Kitchen unclean! But for Hotel management and Housekeeper it is OK??? Very noising and rules are not respectet. Travel a lot even in Lower cat. Hotels never seen such a mess!Never Again!!!

Wonderful facility
We had a wonderful stay at the Ramada. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The facilities were close to the beach. We will surely return for another visit
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The full kitchens help save on a food bill when traveling with children. They were able to have two meals at the hotel and we ate out only for dinner.

Great location...

A Supernaturally Unique Place to Stay
Well we were looking for an inexpensive hotel on the beach and we found one, well sorta. The hotel charges eighteen bucks a day for valet parking or you can park in the garage for fifteen bucks a day. The hotel does not offer free parking.

Located on the beach will go back
The hotel is old but very clean. The continental breakfast is very good. The staff are very good and want to please. Only negitive thing is there is no free parking at the hotel.

If you drive be prepared to pay (cash only) for parking. There is no free parking anywhere on the beach.

Stay here often
The location can not be beat. Right on the beach. With a pool. Right on the boardwalk. Nice hotel. Constructive criticism, is the pool should be open at night. This is South Florida. I want to swim in a pool at night, under the stars, at my hotel. Why shouldnt the pool be open until 10pm? The pool next door is open, why not Ramadas? Its a huge mistake of the property to deny its patrons this benefit.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Dont miss the Hard Rock/Seminole Casino. Enjoy the boardwalk, and the free concerts at Johnson Street Bandshell on the boardwalk. Try the sushi/thai restaurant at the southern part of the boardwalk, and the mexican restaurant. Also, Roccos Pizzeria just off the boardwalk at Johnson Street, a Brooklyn boy making the best pizza in South Florida!!
