onsen situation
The hotel staff was knowledgable and spoke English perfectly. The room was clean. Also, the top floor hotel and bar is superb. BTW, if you’re at the bar, you get charged a special fee for the city view. I was originally drawn to this hotel because of the onsen, and when I got there, you get charged an extra spa tax + fee comes to $6 or so. That the hotel informs you. This was my first onsen so I don’t know what to expect but the onsen pool looked really gross. I know it’s acidic so it corrodes but the tiles were all black. Despite its appearance, the other patrons had no problem dowsing themselves with the water. I checked back in the original website pictures and of course the tiles were clean there. Anyways, other than that, the onsen is steamy hot and part of it is outdoors which is cool at night.
