Our stay
Older hotel, no elevators (stairs are quite steep), rooms clean needs some up dating. Our room had no chest of draws to put clothing in or on. Staff very friendly. Close to very nice beach, beach towels and loungers available. Was quiet.
Traveler's tip on dining
Should eat at the Gulf Gill in town (at least once)- has great view of the beach and volley ball, para-sailing etc to view.

Not at all what I expected
I learned a valuable lesson, to use google "bird’s eye" before I ever try to use this type of booking again. This hotel stated they were "on a public beach" If you walked a quarter of a mile! The room was dirty, & not at all what I expected. The receptionist was rude. I only actually stayed there after I arrived because it was already paid for. I was HORRIBLY disappointed. The level of security there was very poor also. I have learned my lesson & I will tell everyone I know how to avoid this pitfall because the on line pictures had to be taken somewhere else than where I stayed.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The Fort Meyers area was very nice & relaxed to stay in. We were able to go kayaking which was something we really wanted to do and the State Park was the best deal for renting.
