Very nice
Only drawbacks to an exceptionally nice hotel are: seven foot ceiling in the hallways and rooms. The expresso machine in our room did not work nor did one of the lamps. When we reported these problems, they sent someone up to check things out only for him to say that he could have someone from engineering look at it..in two days.
Check out the National Portrait Gallery.

Cant Wait To Go Back
I arrived early in the morning at The Normandy Hotel and was greeted by caring staff members. The staff went over all the options I had such as Continental Breakfast, Parking, and other luxuries. He(Staff) provided my friend and I with a tooth brush and paste because the both of us neglected to pack it. He(Staff) directed us towards the closest 711 at 5am. Later into the day, the staff provided excellent directions to the closest and best shops, and night clubs and the smartest way of getting there. Throughout our stay, the room was well maintained as well as the hotel. While checking out, the staff provided me with a detailed description of my charges and went over them with me. Two hours after leaving the hotel, I noticed I left my charger, and the hotel offered to ship it. Very clean and nice stay, and cannot wait to go back.
Bring taxi money. Pontomic Mills is a good place to shop.

Charming place to stay
The Normandy Hotel, a lovely place to stay in Washington, was a small, charming, European style hotel. The room was not very big, but it had everything we needed, was very pretty, comfortable, and extremely clean. There was parking underneath the hotel for a reasonable price and the staff was very helpful with directions, suggestions, etc. I would stay there again.
