Good place to stay.
Like some other reviewers said, the room was a bit like staying in an Ikea showroom. If youre a self sufficient/low maintenance traveler the room accomodations were just right. The accomodations were sparse but comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel/apartment building was great-- near cafes and shops in St. Roch area and approx. 5 min walk to a grocery store and 10 minute walk to Vieux port and the old city. Since there is not always someone at reception, its a good idea to call ahead to confirm your check-in time. Overall the experience was very pleasant.

There Are Better Places to Stay in Quebec City
Walked into room and it was not what I had prepaid for. Reception told me that I was arriving late and they gave my superior suite to someone else. Spoke to manager and got nowhere. Bed sagged, bathroom was so small you had to wrestle with the door to get in, no phone in room or elsewhere on premises, zero view other than looking in the window of city workers looking back at you from very close office building and the reception is only open a few hours each day so if you need help you are out of luck. Got my money back and went elsewhere!

good location, tiny bed, not so clean
First, the location is quite good if you want to walk into the old town. It is about 5 minutes, but it is uphill. My wife and I were able to make it up the hill with the stroller. There is no parking provided. Go to the huge open lot on the other side of Charest Street/Ave for 12$ a day. They will allow you to enter and exit. The bums on the other street didnt bother us. The room was, as someone else wrote, an IKEA ad. Unfortunately, the bed was only about a foot wider than a twin bed and perhaps a foot shorter. And, worst of all, there was a bug in the bed when we got into it. It was dead, but it still didnt make us feel too comfortable. The bathroom wasnt spotless, but it was acceptable. The kitchen was small but functional, and we had breakfast and dinner there daily. There were restaurants nearby, but the dollar exchange meant they were no longer a bargain. Basically, I would compare this to using the apartment of a friend who happens to be a single guy who doesnt clean too much. If you can deal with that, youll be all set. The next time we go, we will probably stay outside of town somewhere and pay to park.
