Not the best customer service
Be aware that the free hotel shuttle is not available on the way back to the airport (they charge a fee), but also be aware that it is only even an option at certain hours. I was disappointed because I booked this specifically for the purpose of getting the free shuttle, then I found out it wasn’t running at the hour I needed it (630 a.m.), and a taxi costs 30 Euros (50 dollars!). Total rip off. Also, there is no free internet anywhere. You pay a fortune at the lobby or in your room. No complaints about cleanliness, great and comfortable, but in order to access the bus/metro, you have to walk a good 20 minutes, not very convenient. And since it’s so far removed, taxis are a fortune to get anywhere. Would not stay here again, would not recommend. Customer service is terrible, ladies in the front desk talk on the phone, look at their computer while trying to help you. Definitely not American friendly.
Definitely go see the Anne Frank house--stunning and very moving.

Good for its money
We couldn’t find anything cheaper and with proper comfort and destination from Amsterdam. Main reason we choose this hotel were: * price * 15 minute walk from tram which takes you to downtown in 30-40 minutes. Good things for this hotel are: * free transportation to airport and city downtown. (But you have to pay if you want it other way around. No kidding) Hotel and rooms are in pretty decent condition, staff is excellent. However things I disliked were: * For some reasons they forgot to change our towels and make our room. Towels were really wet due shower doesn’t have door(!), so we put some of towels on floor just not to slip on it. * internet connection was present, but you had to pay for that ~5-10 euros per day. C’mon, it is 21st century, isn’t it?
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Take it if you want to save money & have comfort place to sleep. Be aware, you’ll sacrafice 40-50 minutes to get to and from Amsterdam downtown.
