Harbour lights
We enjoyed spending time at this hotel. It was in a nice location central to the Harbour. It had a beautiful kitchen with all the appliances needed to cook with. THe living room and idning room area were nice. Our only issue was the couch wasnt’ very comfortable and the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

Not impressed
We had numerous problems with ants. The TV was about 13" and situated in the top corner of a fairly large room?? Staff were nice, but I wouldn’t say this was a 4 star room! Housekeeping was sporadic. No TP one day! Taka at the front desk is very nice and helpful! Close to boardwalk. Eat at the Waterfront Bar and Grill! The rib eye with garlic mashed potatoes are too die for!!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Try Nando’s (it’s a little chicken place with really great food)! Book your excursions and go right away! We missed the GB Reef due to a cyclone so we "wasted" 6 days in Cairns. Go to Kuranda and ride the Skyrail. I heard the view was nice but didn’t notice since my eyes were closed! Not as scary as I thought!

Beautiful hotel; perfect location
Our room at the Sebel Harbour Lights was actually a brand new apartment--living room, dining area, kitchen, even a washer/dryer! It was off season, so the room was a bargain. Everything was beautiful, especially the view! The hotel is situated perfectly next to the port where all the day boats leave and in easy walking distance to restaurants. Our only issue was in the wake-up service. We needed a 3:45 a.m. wake-up to catch a 5:00 a.m. flight, and a taxi. The desk wrote down the wrong room number, so our neighbors were awakened instead of us and the taxi booked in their name!
