Difficult to find
The hotel was difficult to find (I had forgotten to bring the address). Its a small place so it should have a big sign. Unfortunately, for me, the sign only said HOTEL and not HOTEL ROYAL. The taxi driver dropped me off on the right corner but pointed me in the wrong direction. A large hotel (Merkur) just next door played a nasty practical joke on me and sent me on a wild goose chase in the wrong direction and I didnt come back to the right location until 40 minutes later. Finally upon arriving to the Hotel Royal (situated on the street right behind the Hotel Merkur) the hotel manager politely checked me in. The street is quiet, so the hotel rooms are quiet (except for the guests making noise) arriving to their rooms in the evening. Water was hot, but room was cold. Otherwise, a good value for the price. Perfectly situated right behind Nurenbergs main train station. If you arrive to the airport, just take the U2 straight to the main train station and walk out the back door of the station. Out the door cross a street, parking lot and quarter block more and you are at the hotel front door. Cant beat the location.
