will not go back

We were in town for medical reasons for four nights going between the Mayo and St. Marys Hospital after the first day of tests (bothe at St. Marys & Mayo) we were told that all of following days would need to be done at ST. Marys including the operation (each day starting at 5:30 Am ending at 5:00pm). Once we found this out we wanted to get closer to St Marys because of travel and convience, the hotel would not let us out of our reservation for any of the nights, even though we confronted them before check out on the first day. They were not helpful and did not care. Very dissatisfied.

Great location for Mayo Clinic & St Mary’s Hospital

We were in town for medical appts for our daughter at Mayo Clinic and St Mary’s Hospital. The location of the hotel was perfect. Our room was clean, staff were polite, breakfast was fresh. The only thing that was a bit odd, was the pool was only 3 ft deep and the hot tub seated 2. We managed as there were only 3 of us and it wasn’t that busy. We managed to have fun in between our medical visits. Great place to stay. We would stay again.

Would stay here again, EXCEPT.....

My daughter and i stayed here because of its proximity to Mayo Clinic. It was a huge room and very clean. The staff was helpful to us by offering to hold our luggage between dr appointments and check out. we were delayed at an appointment and didnt have enough time to get the luggage to the car before our next appointment and had already extended our checkout time to the latest possible time. of course they would have a completely booked hotel to not be able to have any grace time for evening checkout time. The breakfast was pretty a good array of foods. my only complaint about breakfast is there was no microwave....in the entire hotel! They had muffins and donuts that were sooo cold...frozen..but no way to heat them. My 2 complaints were no aminities in the room and no TV channels to watch except kiddie shoes. Not even the news. I would have had to pay to watch TV! That was a rip! There were no amenities in the room. i missed the about the kitchenettes being in the suites only. These were quite a bit more than the rooms with 2 beds and that would have defeated the purpose of saving money. there was no frig or microwave in the regular rooms and no possibility of rental. This was a bummer. it was a long week and those things would have been so helpful! Other than that, it was a great place to stay and we might stay there again.
