Concierge gave great tips on dining in the area that combined great food, ambiance and didn’t break the bank. Plus they had coupons for some of the area restaurants.

Nice hotel for the price

This hotel is older the ones surrounding it and it is currently being re-furbished. The construction noise wasn’t bothersome to me but may be to others. The room was nice and it was clean. There were several problems that we called the desk about and no one came until ONE HOUR before we checked out and we were there for four nights. For example, the sliding glass door did not lock, the TV didn’t always work, the lamp next to the bed didn’t work etc....The valet staff was great and all of the staff was friendly. the beach area is beautiful. The pool is just ok.

Make sure to hit the water taxi to downtown. While downtown is not so hot, the water taxi guys are great and you get to see some spectacular real estate! It’s $13 for a full day. However, the price goes down to $7 after 7 pm

Perfect beach stay

This was the best hotel we’ve stayed in on fort lauderdale beach . The staff was great ,and the room was beautiful .When we go back I will stay here again .

An amazing amazing experience from our drive in from the FLL airport, valet, check-in, walk to Starbuck’s, hot shower, dinner @ Shula’s, cocktails @ Waves, walk down the strip and back, and the rest is for me to know and you to find out for yourselves :)

Very Nice Hotel, would highly reommend this property. The only complaint I have is that my I-Pod was stolen from the property. I noticed the I-Pod missing and contacted Security and it took them two days to get back to me. I asked for the Lock intterogation report for my room to see who might have been in there and was told it was private info and I was not privy to it. To think that someone other than my wife and I were in the room was a little unsettling. I spoke with the Corporate HQ and was told that the was really nothing they could do for me......

Beach directly across from the Hotel, great beach.Another complaint, they charge twenty dollars a day for a Umbrella. Tip: Go to one of the stores and buy an umbrella for tweleve bucks....

Great Vacation Spot

Me and my girlfriend loved our oceanview room and the pool and facilities were great. Best part is that is on the Fort Lauderdale beach strip! Many great stores, restaurants, and bars. Would definitely recommend for any couple.

Enjoyed My Stay in Lauderdale!

The Westin was very clean and located facing the Atlantic Ocean. My room was Ocean view with an awesome view. We had dinner at Shula’s restaurant that faced the ocean. The food and service was superb. The concierge, Otto was very helpful and personality plus!!! My lady and I enjoyed our stay and will come back again.

The price was right for a quality hotel (The Westin) sitting right on the ocean. This hotel provides a great view of the ocean and is conveniently located near Las Olas Blvd for some nightlife. Also approximately 30 minutes from South Beach-Miami!

Can’t wait to go back

Just an amazing hotel right from the doorman who greets you to the decor of the hotel-it is quite a hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very easy access to the beach. Room is a little small, but adequate. We got the room with the ocean view which made our just perfect. We are already planning our next trip back.

Will Go Back

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful time in Ft. Lauderdale and will go back. We were able to watch the fireworks from our room.

Took the dinner cruise and was enjoyable. We also took the bicycle taxie down the street to dinner the driver came back on time to take us back to our hotel.

Good hotel

Overall it was a good experience. The hotel was absolutely packed for the 4th of July celebrations. They have a small pool and it was quite dirty. The Hotel doesn’t provide any beach equipment other than beach towels. If you have a car, the hotel charges $25/day + taxes. The is a resort fee in addition to all the above, so the price that you see online is absolutely not real. There are no activities for kids other than the pool, so consider that if you have a family with kids.

Great Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale

The Westin Beach Front Resort was a wonderful hotel! The only complaint that I had was they would not allow us to do late check-out. We had a late flight and our dog was with us. They would not let us check out past 1:00 without charging us another night so we had to go to the airport 5 hours ahead of schedule. Other than that the stay was luxurious and convienent!

Very nice place to stay

Very good location, close to Las Olas. The hotel has a built overpass to the beach which was very convinient. We did not have to go outside to get to beach, it was accessible right from the pool. The hotel is still under construction and noise from the machinery was somewhat bothering. Our room had beautifull decor and furnishing. Bedding and matress were super class. We enjoyed our stay.

Top Notch Beach Front Hotel!!

We stayed in the newly renovated side of the hotel and it was awesome. I would recomend to anyone. Once the hotel if fully renovated it will be fabulous.

Questionable

The room itself was nice but the hotel was still on construction. I was unaware of that when I booked the room. When I arrived the hotel had no room for me so they gave me an "Upgrade" which was a partial ocean view. The view was great, except for the fact that, in addition to a partial ocean view, I had a total construction zone view. I could’ve stayed at ’The W’ a couple of blocks away for roughly the same price and it was brand new and complete. The Westin also found a rental car for me through Hertz and when I dropped it off at the airport I was overcharged by about $30. When I refused to pay it they brought it down to what it was supposed to be and then added a $12 junk fee that they told me was a tax. It wasn’t...It was a recovery fee. I went to Fort Lauderdale to escape the crap day to day life presents and found more of it there than usual.

I went to a few of the local gyms while I was in Fort Lauderdale and that experience was great. World Gym was nice but small, The Zoo was awesome for hardcore lifters and LA Fitness was good for recreational lifters

Not Impressed

I received a room at the end of the hall which was much smaller than other rooms. The bathroom door did’nt open all the way because it hit the sink (poor design). The bathroom door is not solid and you don’t have much privacy. Not to mention no fan in the bathroom. We had a sliding door which opened to nothing but a railing because there was no balcony! I kept the door open for two minutes before I had to shut it because of the noise of construction and what I beleive was the hotels air conditioning unit. The rooms air conditioning unit was very noisy even when it was on low. The mini bar was not refridgerated so we had to throw our left overs from dinner out! The telephone would make random electronic beeps in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. The maid service came in and cleaned the room despite the fact we had the privacy sign on the door!

Can’t wait for next year!

WOW! I have stayed at this hotel every time I visit for 12 years. Since changing owners it is 100% better! The room overlooking the ocean, with the sliding doors left open at night listening to the waves was HEAVENLY! We even cancelled plans and stayed an extra night!
