clean but with very small restaurant
Generally good place for stay but restaurant very small so for a breakfast I coudnt find any free place. The table are so big so you usually sit with somebody else what is nice - but sometimes... close to city centre but think twice before you go to Riga. There is not so much to see and not so ncie people. Many crazy drivers on the streets. And very expensive country (restaurants etc). I do not recommend that country at all!
Traveler's tip on recreational activities

good value hotel - very central - walking distance to bus station
this is a very good value hotel right in the centre of the old town. Highly recommended.

Good hotel unless allergic to cigerate smoke
I have mixed feelings about my stay. The positives were: clean/modern room, GREAT location right in the old town, great breakfast included, and comfortable beds. Negatives: Despite the fact there was a prominant sign in our room warning against smoking in the room, hotel employees CONSTANTLY smoked right under our window. Also, perhaps Latvians are just not warm people, but the staff at times seemed a little cold. Finally, there were alot of potential extra charges, for example extra towels, changing of sheets more than once every three days, and ironically, a charge if you smoked in the room. Given the price I would recommend this hotel unless you have a strong aversion to cigerate smoke (or perhaps request a room away from the courtyard).
