very impressed
We stayed for 9 days and were extremely impressed with the hotel and with the service. It is almost 100 years old and very clean and well maintained. The food that we had was room service and was very good. It has a great old style bar which is cozy and with good service. It was a very good hotel for a very good price. I will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Grand Hotel.
This is one of the old, grand and presitgious hotels of Monterrey. It is within walking distance of the Macroplaza (city center) and Barrio Antiguo (Old Neighborhood), which is full of night life with bars and good restaurants. Best regards, Héctor
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Also, don’t miss the 1900 bar in the hotel which is close to the lobby, it is truly turn of the century. Try the nightly "menudo", after coming in from Barrio Antiguo for a last beer, you will remember it.

I will give this hotel another chance because this last stay was probably the 10th time I stayed in this hotel, and the last 9 were great The 5th floor was not even operating and I was charged for all the extra serc=vices that it provides
