Spacious modern room, wonderful views
We stayed here for 1 night in late February, in a Superior Garden Room. It was actually a spacious junior suite, with a separate sitting area, working desk, and a tiny kitchenette tucked into a closet. The bathroom was spacious, the room was decorated in a modern style, and everything was impeccably clean (but what else would you expect from a top Swiss hotel?) The area is one of the best residential neighborhoods in Zürich, so its a bit away from the city center, but the tram (aka the Dolderbahn, but its part of the citys tram network) takes you downtown in a few minutes. Best of all were the terrific views over the city, the lake and the mountains beyond. Note that if your idea of a great looking hotel is some 18th century stereotypical European mansion with faux-antique furniture, this place will disappoint you since its quite mid-century modern on the outside, and as noted earlier airy modern-chic on the inside. If youre looking for a comfortable, roomy room in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the town center, with free parking (a rarity in this expensive town) this place is for you.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Taxis are very expensive. Buy a Tageskarte (day pass) at the tram stop, which will let you ride the whole tram and bus system in Zürich for 24 hours. Dont hesitate to ask, in English, for help (target someone under 50 or so) - people are invariably helpful.

Excellent, well located, generous rooms with balcony and view
High on a hill over looking the city, this had the feeling of being away from the bustle yet it was easy to reach downtown on the convenient public transportaion. Immaculate, stylish, excellent food and service.
