Inconvenience
The cleanliness of the outside of hotel, dining area, and main lobby were adequate. However, actual rooms left a bit to be desired. There was a spider in my sink upon arriving and it was obvious that old sinks and walls had been painted over. The bedding was fresh however and this was each hotel rooms saving grace. Noticed I said "rooms." I was surprised to find out after returning from a day excursion that my key to my room didnt work. The hotel decided to change my room without ever notifying myself or the hotel staff of the reason for the move. After a long day, I had to pack up all my belongings, cart everything 50 feet, and re-settle into a new hotel room. It was a huge inconvenience and no rational was ever expressed as to why I had to move rooms. The room that I had to vacate was left empty after I had to transition, and no other guests were appointed the room I had been in.... In addition, other guests near my new room were noisy and inconsiderate. They were outside talking till late and up at the break of dawn. Their preferred place to loiter was right outside my hotel room. They were not young people as one might expect. The other guests were just a loud talking family.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
St. Simons Island was beautiful! I loved the laid back downtown atmosphere and the beaches on the island. I also took an hour to tour Fort Frederica. A little off the beaten path and not too exciting, but interesting if you are a history buff!

Good place for the price.
We were on our way to Florida and stopped in Brunswick for the night. The travelodge was nicer than what I expected for the price. The free breakfast was a great plus. The pillows were very comfortable, much more comfortable than the ones I have at home!! We would definately stop in Brunswick again if we ever travel to Florida again!

Not impressed
The first room I was given still had someones personal items in the room when I walked in. The second room I was given was a queen bed instead of the king bed I paid for and the first key they gave me did not work. When I returned to the office I was given three different keys at once and told that one "should" work. The second day, I had to return to the office to get the key reactivated. The room itself was not well kept. Part of the mirror were missing and the chrome in the shower did not look like it had been cleaned.
