My annual trip to Fargo
I graduated from high school in Fargo but moved away quite a while ago. Every year that I go back and visit, everyone wants to hang out at the Sidestreet Bar. And it just so happens that the Sidestreet is attached to the HoJo hotel! It’s a convenient stumble home from the bar to my hotel room. Plus the pool attracts my friends that have children to come and swim! The downtown location is ideal for me because there is plenty of fun to be had in downtown Fargo......at least if you love drinking beer in bars with friends! Howard Johnson is always very accomodating and pleasant. It’s a nice place!
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Sidestreet is a nice mellow bar with live music, pool tables, foos ball, and black jack. I always have fun when I’m there!

old, but good location
This hotel was pretty pretty old and out-dated. The bathrooms haven’t been changed in 40 years and our toilet ran all night. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel has nice size pool area, a restaurant & a bar. It is directly across from the Fargo Civic center and is a close place to stay after a concert. All in all it was an easy place to stay in downtown Fargo but we had expected more for the price paid for the room.
