I would go back

We found this motel to be clean and comfortable but a bit worn. Considering the price it was just what we needed for our stay. I would use the motel again when I am next in the area.

OK Hotel

It was an OK place, for the price is what good, I just like staying at a little more up to date motel.

If I didn’t know better, I wouldn’t have believed we had the same motel as several years ago. As a matter of fact, I was looking to NOT get the same one, but couldn’t remember where it was we’d stayed. The room was much cleaner, and even though a smoking room, didn’t have the lingering smell. Had all the amenities, fridge, microwave, blowdryer, coffee pot, iron and board, a.c., small table and 2 chairs, and a wide variety of channels on tv. Very comfortable room. It was located on the back side of the motel and there was no road noise, nor did we hear other people coming and going, and the lot was full.

Not what I expected

I booked this hotel b/c i got a good deal and i was only going to stay one night. The images on expedia of the hotel were much nicer than reality in my opinion. I wonder how old those pictures are? the room was "moderately" clean and I even found a roach in my room which when i mentioned it at check out the lady said "Yeah, those things show up some times" or something very close to that(forgive me if that isn’t word for word). I was not even offered anything by way of apology or compensation for the roach! so in short, I will not go back,nor would i refer anyone to this hotel.

Clean room, nice pool

We were in Wilmington for a Labor Day weekend wedding, and everyone else booked in very expensive rooms downtown. If you have a car, save the money and stay here. Pros: free Internet available in the lobby, quick & easy drive to downtown and airport, and not too far from the beach either. Biggest inconvenience is the great difficulty making a left turn out of the hotel (it’s a busy street).

Decent

For a motel this Days Inn was nice. The staff were very friendly and the place is well lit. Our room was clean and fine. Keeping in mind that this is on the cheap end, it is a good little place. Frig, cable TV, and A/C all worked fine.

Market street has an endless supply of places to eat. I particularly recommend the Indiochine Thai restaurant down the street.

Basic motel at a low price

This motel is a low priced (lowest actually) motel in the area I was looking. It was a typical motel room, fairly clean. The staff actually was very nice, we asked for extra pillow and they forgot to put on a pillow case, and they came in just a few minutes with the items. The pool is nice, there were several families playing together in the pool. Nothing spectacular about the hotel, just a basic room at a low price. The restaurant was nice, and priced right for breakfast. I prefer a little more upscale room than what I got, so I probably will not be back. This hotel is for the budget minded only.

The restaurant in front of the motel where the check in is located was nice and pretty inexpensive with their breakfast specials, plus they give you a discount if you stay in the motel.

Cheap place to stay close to the beach!

The location is great. The room was not super nice/clean but for the price its fine. Close to Wrightsville beach and Wilmington. The staff was nice.

Ok place for the money

Hotel is relatively old, but is clean and comfortable enough especially given the low price of staying. Only major problem we encountered was the difficulty in getting in and out of the hotel parking lot, especially when having to make a left turn. The hotel is located in a busy section of Market Street.

Great Place to vacation on a Budget

The room was clean and the pool was clean. called for towels and they said they didn’t have any .. but i guess you get what you pay for. Friendly staff.

Reasonable for the price

I thought this place was going to be a dump. Boy was I wrong. We stayed in room 233 for three nights and I have to say each day our rooms were cleaned with fresh sheets, towels, soaps, etc. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and surrounding area was nicely landscaped. Nice family atmosphere.

It’s not a luxury hotel, but for the price it was very good. The bed was comfortable and the showerhead was nice.

Cleanest Hotel I have been in for a long time

I was worried when I pulled up to the hotel, because it was the type where you drive up to your room. But as soon as I went to check in (very early I might add- which they did not have a problem with because a room was available) I was pleasantly surprised. The lady checking me in was great, she gave me directions to the mall, pointers about where to go for nightlife, and even drew me a map (it was my first time in Wilmington). When I went to my room, as soon as I walked in all I could smell was bleach and cleaners...lol! I loved it. The hotel is older, but it is obvious they work hard to keep it up and keep it clean. As a germophobe, I loved that they replace the bathtub mats everyday (and clean under where the mat was placed). This hotel is also only a $12 cab ride to the downtown nightlife! Needless to say it was a great experience and I will definitely stay there again.

This is a very family oriented hotel, so if you are single or don’t want to hear kids, get a room away from the pool.

Low Budget Thumbs Up

2nd stay with hotel. Great Pool, excellent access to area with quick on and off of major roads and quick travel time to beach during the week. Rooms are typical outdated rooms found in budget hotels, but they are clean. There are a lot of construction workers in the week, but we never felt unsecure. I don’t like wading through a group of men sitting on the balcony with a young daughter alone, but we were never made to feel uncomfortable. The biggest pitfall of this hotel is the extremely hard beds we encountered on our second stay. I am planning a third trip and believe I will again stay here, so it can’t be that bad--right!

They don’t have a free contintal breakfast

They don’t have a free Continental breakfast.They give you 10% off your meal in their restaurant. They wouldn’t let me into the lobby 2minutes early, so I went across the street and had breakfast. I would not use them again for those two reasons, I just wanted a quick meal and on the road.

There was nothing really special about this hotel. I was nice, clean and quiet. The offer a delicious cheap breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to friends and would even go back myself.

There is a nice bar/grill down the street that we went to often. The Market Street Bar & Grill is a nice place to hang out and they had great live bands

Management Speaks for Itself

I was supposed to stay at the hotel on April 3, 2009. unfortunately my flights got cancelled approximately 2 hours prior to my check in at the hotel. So without my own doing, I did not make it to the hotel. My disappointment is with the management. when i called the airlines to refund my tickets, they did so without hesitation, but whn Expedia contact the hotel manager on my behalf to ask for a refund due to the circumstances, the manager refused. So expedia isued me a credit, but the managers action speak of their understanding and commitment to their relationship with expedia and their customers. this is why i am disappointed!

Was exactly what I was looking for

The hotel was centrally located and easily accessible to local attractions and restaurants. It was quiet and clean!

Decent hotel

While the Days Inn is not a five star hotel, it is well worth the money I spent and was convenient to everything around town. The room decor is a bit outdated, but each is equipped with a TV, refrigerator, and microwave. The room was clean upon arrival and the maids did a nice job of tidying up. The staff was very willing to help out with any need I had. I would recommend this hotel to others looking for a place to stay, who do not mind a bit of lack of luxury.
