Great Hotel
This hotel was amazing! The staff were extremely helpful in giving me information, tips, and transportation into the city center or to the LUAS. They also gave me a ride(small fee) to the airport at the end of my trip. When my luggage was lost they called my room to let me know it had arrived. The bar staff were very pleasant and enjoyable and very efficient. I would very much like to stay there again!!

Clean, Safe, Fun!
The Hotel was in a nice area it seemed. Just a ten minute walk down the street took you to a very nice little town center in clondalkin called the village. It had a few little pubs and a few little stores to shop at. Also the hotel is actually not really in Dublin but in a suburb, so if you want to walk into dublin its about 45 minutes or you can take a 5 minute walk and for 2 euros take to tram from fat cow to dublins town center in about 14 minutes. a tram comes every 8 minutes so your wait will be little. The hotel staff were very nice, very accomidating and cracked a few jokes with me. They seemed to know the area very well and were helpful when asking for advice on what to do in dublin and ireland. The restaurant next door was pretty tasty as well and had a very vibrant atmoshere. The bar inside the hotel was good with a soccer or GAA hurley match on but the drinks were a bit pricy, 5 Euros per pint. All in all the hotel was a good stay. clean rooms with space. **OH and make sure you get a UK/Ireland Electronic Adapter because we made the mistake of not having one and the hotel had ran out so our devices did not work until i found one 3 days into the trip** So anyways, give the hotel a try and have a pint of bulmers for me!
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Just ask one of the hotel clerks about the pubs in the area, most of them have live irish music/dancing nearly every night. Puns are fun and family friendly and a great way to relax and enjoy a sports match. There was a nice one at the village we went to. very big and very fun. Drink Guiness, its good for you!

Comfortable
The Louis Fitzgerald is generally a very nice hotel. Aspects of it really do warrant the 4 star rating, but there are aspects that do take away from that qualification. There really should be a courtesy shuttle from the airport, and to the LUAS station. I felt more than a little conspicuous lugging my suitcase from the Flybus stop about 1/2 mile away to and from the hotel. Service at the hotel was considerate and always available. I especially liked that they assisted my husband and I with internet searches for an event we were going to attend. The hotel is quite new and therefore in great condition, but I noticed that the housekeeping service isnt incredibly thorough with the vacuuming - another example of 4 stars being a stretch. If your plan for visiting Ireland is to spend your days and evenings in Dublin, I dont think I would recommend the Louis Fitzgerald, but, if like us, you are looking for a good homebase from which to explore all different areas of Ireland, this is a good choice, especially if you have your own car.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
A LUAS lightrail pass good for a whole week was only 16 Euro (or something like that). It was about the only "bargain" we found in all of Ireland.
