A so-so experience.
Bar service and staff were great- as was the food. One of the lifts often broken. Front desk staff at times were unimpressive and not very professional- but, don’t get me wrong, this did not apply to everyone- the young lady who checked me in was very nice. Don’t pay extra for the exec level room- all you get is free water. Get the mid-level room if you want the aircon.

Do visit the cathedral and the quayside. The tunnels were kind of cool as well.

was it 4 star?
A well located hotel and of a reasonable standard. However, neither of the lifts were working on at least two occassions and we were on the third floor. The TV reception was not available and we had a letter commenting on this but it didn’t change the fact we were paying for a four star hotel without lifts or TV.
