Very nice Hotel - wish was a little closer
Was a nice hotel, clean and comfortable, lots of quick not fancy places to eat in town - several within walking distance. Was about 30 minute drive from Jaspar park, but way more resonably priced than anything in Jaspar.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The drive into Jaspar park was beautiful even though it took 30 minutes - different perspective as you are not right in the mountains.

Great Service! Decent price near Jasper National Park
We chose this hotel to be near Jasper without having to pay Jasper prices. The front desk staff were the best I had experienced at 5 different hotels in Alberta this week. It’s like if I was talking to the owners.... maybe I was. They really seemed to care about doing thier jobs and making the best possible impression. It was really awesome service during check in, check out, and when I needed to ask a few questions. The room we got seemed to be recently fully renovated. Everything was very clean and smelled new. The beds and linens were comfortable. I gave lower marks for the hotel condition because it seems the entire hotel is in the middle of a major renovation. The halls (far from my room) seemed to be in the middle of a refurbish with new carpets and missing baseboards and room numbers. The wing we stayed in seemed to have completed the renovations. Upon check in, the manager said the pool was out of service. Maybe it is being renovated too. This was not an issue for us as we did not plan to stay long and did not have time to swim anyway, but this would have been a real bummer to learn during check in if we had little kids and time to kill in this small town.

Tim Hortons across the street of the hotel gives lightening fast morning drivethru service. I was very impressed.

Hinton’s best hotel
Front desk was very friendly, accomodating and gave excellent service. They are located close enough to Jasper.
