Good location
We stayed at the Hotel Suites Del Sol. The hotel had a nice Mexican feel and the staff was very nice. We had a very nice view of the mountains from our room and there was a bus stop right outside. However, our room was supposed to have two twin beds and a fridge (according to the listing on expedia) and it did not have either. Also, the hot water was very finicky and the last night and day it did not work at all.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
We found Puerto Vallarta very easy to navigate by bus or on foot. Take the Blue and White bus that says Hoteles from the airport to your hotel if you’re staying in the hotel zone. Also, compare the activity rates of street vendors to the rates of your hotel. We bought all of our activities from the vendor with the lowest price, saving a lot of money.
