Satisfied

the villa it self was beautiful secluded and private which was great the only complaint i have is that the front desk was not as helpful, there was a folder with $100 worth of coupons to use on our vaction which was placed in our room but was not aware of it until the day we were going home so we was not able to use it and housekeeping was only there one time on a 6 day vacation but besides that the restaurant was friendly and food was great

private pool and nearby beaches

We have stayed at Pavilions and Pools about half a dozen times. It is not for everyone but it is an excellent place to say if you want what it has. The main attraction at Pavilions and Pools is the private pool. You are not sharing the pool with 500 of your intimate friends; instead, it is your private pool. This is great fun. PnP also gives you a suite with over 1000 square feet of space with a kitchen and living room. If you rent a car, you have the run of the island plus your own private enclave. Beaches are nearby; we especially like Magen’s Beach. PnP is close to Red Hook, which has some nice restaurants. Overall, it is a great place to relax in a low-key environment

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Magen’s beach combined with a milk shake from the Udder Delight dairy at the top of the hill is a great way to spend a day. The butterfly farm in Charlotte Amalie is fun for adults and I’m sure even better with children.

Beware of island time

The room was wonderful. However, the front desk is only open from 10am-6pm. We had to track down the security officer for our room key since we arrived at 6:30pm. When they "cleaned" the room, they only emptied the trash can. (Sand hiding in our bathing suits remained on the bathroom floor until we left.) It was peaceful and offered beautiful sunsets, and the onsite restaurant, Carmen’s, serves up excellent Mexican food and yummy drinks! We would go back in a heartbeat!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Taking the day sail on the Morningstar with Primo is a must (DO NOT forget to use sunblock!!), but beware of the sea urchins at Honeymoon Beach! Snorkeling at Coki Beach is the best. Take cash for the taxis (we averaged $20 per ride, and we only traveled on the east side of the island). P.S.-taxi rides are NOT for the weak of heart! Those drivers mean business on the narrow, hilly roads!
